How to be fast at Oulton Park on Assetto Corsa Competizione - Track Guide

- The last of our current ACC track guides takes us to Oulton Park in Cheshire. Anyone who has driven Oulton competitively will know just how much of a challenge it is…. I guess you say it’s like the Rainbow Road of British motorsport. I don’t just say that because of the difficulty, more so the elevation changes and undulation. You will not get straight on the pace here, no matter how well you know it. Every corner takes time to master on ACC, but as with many other venues, it is very much worth it when you do finally get where you want to be pace wise.
I have always used Oulton Park over the years in racing games as the track to try out a new car. It really tests every layer of your driving ability with a mixture of high-speed commitment corners, positive and negative camber, technical chicanes and heavy braking zones. Oulton can be frustrating at the best of times, but it always puts a smile on your face.
When learning the circuit for the first time, try and use these lap times as targets to aim for:
Pro : 1:31.60
Pro/Am : 1:35.00
Am : 1:40.00
My Laptime : 1:32.20
Good luck and have fun! Let us know in the comments if you have found these track guides helpful and keep an eye on both Traxion.GG and our CZcams channel for more ACC content in the future.

The most important thing I learned was how to attack the difficult crucial early corner. You’re describe it well and show on screen how to do this. This to me is excellent advice, truly helpful, thank you, these videos are so helpful
Appreciate it! Best of luck with your racing 😊
Definitely my favourite track from the new three in the British GT pack! 😎
I must say your videos are very well done and very well produced. Mich better then many of the others I've seen searching for info on ACC.
Love your guides as well as the humour you inject into them. The Roblox “OOF” when you kissed the wall in the 720S is the cherry on top!
I haven't tried this track yet, but I am going to now. Amazing guide!
This is the best channel for ACC track guides, thank you very much.
Great to hear, thanks very much! Good luck with your racing 😊
Tremendous guide. I watch these before practicing for my league races every weekend. I’m in the 720s though so gonna be a bit sketchy in parts
Glad you find them useful! Best of luck, stay off the kerbs 😂
Thanks for this great guide, you’re my go too now for ACC don’t even bother to look at any others
Really glad you find them useful, cheers!
@@TraxionGG watched your Missano one was struggling with license for Lowfuel motorsports, switched to GTR passed first time
@@roberty21 Awesome! A lot has changed in ACC since making these guides, but although the car performance and specific lap times may be outdated, the lines and braking points should still work well 😊 Best of luck with your races!
Oulton is killer in the McLaren haha, bounces round all over the place
I cannot figure out turn 2. It's an absolute toss up whether or not the bump sends me flying or not.
Greetings, LFM brethren.
this track is hard lol. im 2-3 seconds slower here than I should be compared to other tracks
Lodge track limits have killed my laps many times, can't get the hang of it
Just decided to learn this track for an LFM race. It drives like a rally course in the 2020 AMG. I think I'll just skip this week's race...
I wish they would add gt4 times
My AMG Evo just bounces around at the first left turn like crazy because of that stupid bump. Braking earlier doesn't seem to help. Are there any things I can do to improve dampers? My best time is a 1:37:7 with much room for improvements.
I've made a setup for the AMG Evo which is stable and the bumps don't kill you, I recommend getting into the discord and @ing me I'll send you the setup file if you wish? Unless you're on console. - Rwaggy
@@TraxionGG if you can give me a link where I can join, I would gladly do so. Thank you for your help!
EDIT: Just found it, wrote you a PM
0:34 song name?
Which sim u think does the best version of oulton park ?
Probably this one to be honest!
my best is 1:46 on lambo
The Audi's definitely do not like the kerbs.
well this guide is useless now... tracks been changed. theres no split in the line on turn one
I've just double checked, if the track is in optimal then the dark patch is there, if the track is in fast or lower then the dark patch is not there. Use the fence on the left hand side, when that starts, brake.
@@TraxionGG doesnt work for me, just about every car wont turn the 1st corner and just goes off... why did they make the handling so dogshit..
Is 1.40 really a good am time? AI on 91 beat that..
Oulton is a tricky place to learn, so getting up to speed can be tough. These times are simply a made up target for drivers who are learning to go faster 😊
