I can't speak for Jim's customers, I can only speak for my experience. Some customers are very animated and happy, borderline tears of joy. Some are like "cool, thanks, here's your money, bye! "

Unfortunately as you've found there are a lot of installers of PPF who don't have a lot of pride in their work , usually it's the bigger name larger companies with lots of employees, rather than the smaller independent owner-installer businesses like yourself.

I wish I had brought my GTS here. I was hesitant as I am quite far away in Kent. The highly recommended detailer on close inspection of my ppf has done what I can only describe as a hatchet job. I have used him before but very disappointed this time. Hips not filled in and flattened before ppf. They now bubble due to the air. I am taking it back in a couple of weeks. Well done anyway. I’ve been a subscriber for a couple of years and I’m always amazed.
I love how nonchalantly 'both the headlights fell out' was delivered. Couldn't stop giggling.
After all that work and the car looking absolutely stunning ( the wheels that colour really finnish it off ) I'd just transport the car home and leave in the garage and admire it. But seriously, another fantastic job. Well done

Simply the best
Three things 1) Top job! It looked so good at the start I didn't think there would be that much difference, but at the end it positively glows! 2) How come you don't cover the whole surface? e.g. the pointy bits on the bonnet? 3) The colour balance issue can be sorted by using the manual colour balance setting in your cameras. Ideally get a decent grey card but failing that, it those walls are white point the camera at one of them when there is no car in the garage and set the colour balance that way, or even just put a sheet of white A4 on the floor (not as good a grey card, but way better than auto-balance which will constantly try to correct for the colour of whatever car you are working on ) This way you can set it once and forget about it (for quite a while at least) and should be able to match the colours coming from each camera.

I bought an E93 Lime Rock M3. It has PPF on it and I don’t care for the finish it provides. It’s a bit orange peely and shows various maring. I would like to have it removed, complete detail, paint correction, and ceramic coating. Looking for a completely smooth glass like finish. Problem is, I am terrified to have the PPF removed and have the paint damaged. The paint is essentially what makes these ares valuable.

stunning! One question - why put coating down before ppf? Seems like you would want hydrophobic properties on top of the ppf.

Had a guy come in to the showroom the other week asking if he could take templates off our cars for his PPF business. Of course we let him and good luck to him I think it’s the future. But not as fulfilling to watch as a paint correction and bringing a car back from the edge of death. Top job Jim. If owned my own car ( GTI WAS STOLEN ) and made enough money to afford you 😂 you would be my first port of call.
I've pondered a few times, could the strap line be Correction, Protection & Reflection - CPR? Too many logs etc to change! Great detailing as ever.

I’ve heard the guidance on 992s is to not use PPF on the headlamps, and my installer wouldn’t do it, for fear of it delaminating them.
Awesome as always! Which brand of PPF? Here in Oz its a bit limited, most seem to recomend Xpel Ultimate
How do you get the paint color to match? Do you order it or do you have it made? When you touch up, what are you doing to level it and are you clear coating at all?
You can use a grey card and manual white balance to get the correct colour.

After PPF and coating on top, what do you recommend as a quick detail spray to keep the PPF’d areas clean between normal washes? Something that will not reduce the standard life of the work you did.
