    How do we pay for application fees? And how hard is it to get a full ride scholarship?

    • @nebiyat
      @nebiyat  Před 2 lety +2

      Hi Abel! The easiest way to pay your application fees is to have someone residing in the U.S. (could be a relative or a friend) pay them for you and then pay them back here in Birr since we can’t pay in Dollars from here, yet. To answer your second question, full-ride scholarships are pretty rare and highly competitive. The level of difficulty obtaining a full-ride scholarship depends on the strength of your application and the school you’re applying to. Just to give you an idea, less than 1% of students get full-ride scholarships. That doesn’t mean they are impossible though. In order for a school to invest that kind of money in you, you should be an exceptional student and close to the top of your class. Even though requirements vary depending on the school you’re applying to, if you have an unweighted GPA of > 3.8, an SAT score of > 1450 or an ACT score of > 32, glowing recommendation letters, great essays, incredible extracurriculars, and so on, I would say you have a pretty good shot! (still not guaranteed though) Good luck!

    What about applying for 2nd degree? And what are the required documents mostly they asked?

    • @nebiyat
      @nebiyat  Před 2 lety +1

      Hi there! Even though requirements vary, most masters degree programs require that you take an admissions test (GRE, GMAT, LSAT, and/or MCAT depending on your field of interest), transcripts (ye Bachelor’s degree), letters of recommendation, and a personal statement. Most schools have started waiving standardized exams due to COVID though. Apply mareg wedemitfelgebet bota email argeh check mareg tiru new. Interviews are usually included in the application process as well. Let me know if you have further questions & good luck! 🍀

    Hi Nebiyat, Can i apply for scholarship by TOEFL Test and what is processes ?

    • @nebiyat
      @nebiyat  Před 2 lety

      Hi Tariku! I am not sure if I understand your question correctly, but if you mean applying for scholarships using only your TOEFL scores, I don't think that is possible. TOEFL simply measures the English language ability of non-native speakers. It is, of course, very important to have a high TOEFL score as it will show admissions officers how well you have mastered the language which is important if you are applying to schools whose primary language of instruction is English. However, it is only one part of your application. Admissions officers look at "hard factors" such as GPA, grades, test scores, courses taken etc. and "soft factors" like essays, extracurriculars, recommendation letters and so on. Since they look at the application as a whole, it is very important to pay equal attention to all parts of your application. Good luck and let me know if you have any more questions!

    CAN I GET MIDICINE scholarship in us or canada from grade 12

    • @nebiyat
      @nebiyat  Před 2 lety

      Selam, Aynalem! The medical education system is different in the U.S. and Canada. Contrary to how it is here in Ethiopia, you first need to get a Bachelor’s degree in any field (ideally in STEM) and then you apply to med school. You cannot enter the program directly from high school. Getting a full-ride scholarship to medical school is incredibly competitive and uncommon. Getting accepted to med school by itself is a great achievement. Therefore, if your plan is to attend medical school in the U.S. or Canada, your best bet would be to find a co-signer and take out (a hefty amount of) loans. I recommend you get your undergraduate degree here, take (and nail) the MCAT, have stellar recommendation letters, polish other parts of your application, and apply. If/once you get accepted, you can start thinking about finances. You got this! Good luck ☘️
