  • Remove the broken wiper and heat the press ring to remove. Install the new arm and blade and cut to adjust tension
    4:11 heat with torch
    4:58 removal of seized spline collar
    8:10 installing arm
    11:53 cutting arm to increased tension
    13:50 testing with washer fluid

    Dude amazing ... I was dreading this project on my 2004 4runner because the "nut" was rusted on tight. Most folks were saying..."lube and tap, lube and tap". I did that till I was frustrated and came to your video. BAM! HEAT! took me 3 minutes and the damn thing pulled right off. Thanks Jacob! This is what makes CZcams and folks like you wonderful!     I got the same problem with the arm stuck into it, unfortunately I don't have a torch. I don't know what else to do

      Try a blow dryer on low speed high heat. It may be enough if you hold it there longer. Also try penetrating oil, only a small amount each day for a few days to see if it lessens up. I believe the wiper is brass and a softer metal so it may just take more time without a torch.
