- Sunset walk at the El Paseo Shopping District in Palm Desert (East of Palm Springs), California. I was fortunate to catch the El Paseo Cruise Nights event where antique vintage cars are cruising on the street. It felt like walking back in 1950s.
Palm Desert is a city in the Coachella Valley located in Riverside County, California, USA. It's approximately 14 miles east of Palm Springs and 122 miles east of Los Angeles. It’s home to country clubs, golf courses and shops. It is also known for its warm and sunny climate and its scenic views of the desert and mountains
El Paseo Drive is a popular shopping and dining destination in Palm Desert, California. It is often referred to as the "Rodeo Drive of the Desert" because of its upscale boutiques, art galleries, jewelers and restaurants. El Paseo Shopping District is also known for its beautiful landscaping, with flowers and statues along the mile-long stretch.

For such a beautiful looking place, real estate is so much cheaper and more affordable than Palm Springs just up the road. Surprisingly cheaper! Great for Californians looking to get out of bigger cities.

They do this all the time. El Paseo is Rodeo Drive, and a fabulous avenue for walking, driving, seeing, and being seen. It's the scene around here.

A third of all cars are cool retro style cars. I wonder if this was an event. At least during the day on Google Street View I didn't notice a single such car in the same place.

A local from Palm Desert said that the car show is a tradition held twice a month.

I live 5 minutes walking distance from this street. Born and raised, if you want a nice clean conservative area to live, Palm Desert is the place. You want a more gay, liberal area to live, Palm Springs is the place.

@@WindWalkTravelVideos We do often because we get a lot of car shows out here. About twice a month sometimes. We have a lot of vintage car owners out here but it also draws a lot of out of towners. It's almost tradition to drive el paseo for people to draw attention to the car shows. There's a lot of money in this desert. Surprisingly, it's not that high of a cost for living.
Nice to know that that area is conservative. Keep Gruesome Newsom and liberals away from there!
