I have this on DVD! I love Speed, he's just great all around. His book (Speedology: Speed on New York on Speed) is well worth seeking out. I once was lucky enough to have coffee with him in NYC about 7 years ago, he's exactly like this in person. Endlessly interesting to talk/listen to.
Speed, you are blessed with a unique voice and something worthwhile to say. I'm happy to be one of the 13,063 views on July 19 2011. Now I'm going to send your link out to friends because I think your videos deserve millions of views. Thank you for your bravery and brilliance.
@@EthosF4dedBut you’re picking up what I’m putting down, right? You’re smelling what I’m stepping in. I don’t even remember writing this, so I’ll just let it be. I feel like it’s what Speed would want.
Mr. Levitch seems to have dulled substantially post-'The Cruise' - cosmetically, he's generally more appealing, yet somehow...blander. His schtick now seems affected, and self-conscious. This is very tragic. I recommend watching 'The Cruise', and indulging in the preservation of the Timothy Levitch mystique (at 25).
@eatmealiveplease both...kinda The original quote is "so shines a good deed in a weary world" written by Shakespeare in his play The Merchant of Venice . . . of which is repeated in the original willy wonka. iljammer's comment is just a slight variation of that...
❤ i don’t know what specifically but in what he does, his thing, which i know of no one who has before or since, maybe Whitman, but in this thing that touches me so with laughter even, Speed is the G.O.A.T. He must get more due.
a lot of what he says is cynical in foundation. is cynicism a step to transcendence? Of course, I'm talking about the good kind of cynicism. He clearly doesn't care deeply about what he's disgusted with, he just narrates it.
Wow... Amazing. Don't know who this dude is, but to jsut ignore what he has to say would be the same as shooting oneself in the foot with a doublebarrelled shotgun. Levitch man, I wish you the best of luck in the future...
i was walking throagh a tas can this to be loss from reality because the tast can is the cosmos itself, we are all tast cans, shit fall into us from other people and sometimes other people don't better to put anything within us. only being loss walking though a tast can that we can realize the true meaning of the cosms and human existence. shit! i'm this kidding with you guys
@weemanaz Willy Wonka was much better than shakspee infact more meaniful than space odessey and only by wacthing willt wonka that we can understand the human contuction

seems like a real (and because real, great) human being
I still don't know whether Speed is brilliant or mad, but I love him all the same.
Still loving you after all these years. Sharon ❤❤❤❤
I think Speed is great. I am old enough to remember the old beats- I was a baby beat-
and Speed is one of them - one of the greats
"People do have a tendency to build walks in the face of boundlessness." Timeless.

Same. I feel horrible for admitting it, but same. It just gets to you after a while -_-
Speed was doing bus tours in San Francisco and then moved to the midwest where he was raised.
These are journeyman boxers of philosophy
Timely on this 4th of July.

NO PLANES THO.
Shallow words
And you are so, so deep, with a screen name like "poop." You are too stupid to see the irony in that.
Why does he have to talk like that?
Why do you have to speak the way you do?
Great guy, very interesting, most obnoxious voice ever
