  • This trip was about getting away on the the Can Am Spyder for a few days in our own backyard. Both of us riding a Can Am Spyder RT we headed to Bunya Mountains Qld. We’ve never visited there before and it didn’t disappoint. We rode the Can Am motorcycle through mostly very dry conditions and then it opened up, or I should say closed into, a Jurassic Park scenario. It was wet, green and lush, our first impression…wow…look at all the wallabies bouncing around.
    Once we settled into our B&B, well, it was really just a ‘B’, as there was no breakfast. We eventually got the fire going, which started the next 3 awesome days.

      Hi Guys. We certainly do remember. You were originally from South Africa and you helped us collect stickers and patches on the night.
      How are you both? What a fun night that was. Are you guys on Facebook? So pleased you reached out.

      @@RoundTheKorner I’m about to set up a sena 10 camera on my helmet. It’s daunting for me. I fluked the connection on the sena’s we have now. Hahaha!

      Thankyou Jeff, still learning about video creating. We did achieve one other thing, we avoided the 4klm stretch of dirt road most folks take. We went via Kumbia. I think we will be back.

    You're driving on the wrong side of the road Mate! LOL. I just got the 2021 Marsala RT Limited, lucky to get one, better half would have kicked my arse if I got two. Even if one was for her! Have fun and ride safe. Oh, and we are getting our first snow for this year in 2020-2021 in Upstate NY.

    • @RoundTheKorner
      @RoundTheKorner  Před 3 lety +1

      Yeah...I try to get them to drive on the other side, but it causes all sorts of problems 😁 Congrats on the new bike, nice colour pick. I know, I spelt colour wrong 😂 We both have 2020 RT's. The 2021's don't arrive DownUnder until Mar/Apr 2021.
      We travel to the US regularly, just luv it there. We were there in March, but COVID hit and our 90 day holiday only lasted 20 and we had to return home. You be safe also. Cheers Mike & Catrina

      We did previously ride two up for many years, but Catrina wanted her licence and ride her own bike, which was fair enough.

    What do you think of the new F3 Limited has all of the touring capability and you can even get a larger aftermarket windscreen

    • @RoundTheKorner
      @RoundTheKorner  Před 2 lety

      F3 Limited is great touring bike. It's a personal choice. The RT's suit our needs a little more over the F3. All the best 👍

    Just saw your video. Noticed that your Spyders have lights in the front of the rear view mirrors, which makes sense. They don't have them here in the US. Do they come like that down there or did you add them on?

    • @RoundTheKorner
      @RoundTheKorner  Před 3 lety

      Hi Jari
      Good spotting…they come standard like that. They are most likely as a result of our ADR’s (Australian Design Regulations) whereby the authority requires additional blinker lights. All Spyders that arrive in Australia have variants from that of the US and Canada.
      The F3 for example have numerous changes, most notably, the standard exhaust is replaced with the RT exhaust as the decibel noise is above our Australian standard. Even stranger, the F3 rear gog for the Australian model is different to that of the US/Canada models. It has 11 fewer or more teeth, can’t remember which. The reason…the US/Canada models rev out more, as such made too much noise for our market…weird ah!
      Myself and my partner were (past tense) official BRP Can-Am Spyder Ambassadors for the product. As such we had visited the factory in Canada. It is amazing how many variants of the product are produced for different countries, not just Australia.
      Sorry, that was a long answer to your short question.
      Cheers
      Mike & Catrina
      PS. You could order those rear view mirrors with the additional blinkers if you can track down the part number

      @@RoundTheKorner Thanks for the thorough answer. Rode Goldwings for 20+ years. Still have one, but planning on getting an RT. Hoping those mirror pod lights and adjustable steering become standard on 22 or 23 models. If not, will have to order them.

    It rides so much better with Car Tires and as way bar. 20psi in the rear tire, and 12-15 in the front tire. Motorcycle tires are 👎,as far as I’m concerned!
