I bought the slide top Matco yesterday, I like so far . It’s my electrical/ diagnostic cart . I have to get it arranged like I like it but it’s going to work out great
Man he has stepped up his game with that new truck. I realized how easy it is to see the products now even just watching on video. Everything seems so organized and better lighting.
Take your tool pic at Clays, he’s got Snap-on, Mac, Matco and Joe’s all Star tools. If you can’t find it on one of those trucks, there’s something wrong... awesome videos this week as usual sir...👍👍👍
You should do a interview with mrs matco Michael about what it is like to be a tool truck dealers wife and what role she plays in the business she’s always so quiet
I’ve had the matco slide top cart since 2011 it looks the same but mine has no holes in the back for a tv mount and no pry bar slot. I love it the only thing is you need to swap out the standard castors for swivels so all 4 swivel it’s a big cart and it helps with maneuvering and be careful when you have the tops extended that you don’t have it too close to the lift and catch them on the arms sucks when that happens
I've got the Snapon Slidetop with the bedliner top. Love it, lots of room, can wheel it anywhere you can walk in the shop. I have the PowerBar inside and the cord wrap on the side. Great unit!
I like the slide top feature. I picked up a Homak 35" at NAPA on special for $400 a few years back. It isn't as long and only has 5 drawers though. But I do like the slide top.
I would love to see a shop tour we run a trucking and mining company up here in Indiana and we are re doing our organization and would love to see some new ideas from other big truck shops
I want to see a video about a breakdown on the differences between the toolbox lines 4s, 6s, Revel & Revel X. With price points and accessories. Along with opinions from Klay and the guys on what they would prefer for each “price point”
No we tried going with Revel X but they didn’t offer a top box on the toolbox configurater online and it wasn’t in any of the catalogs so .... thought it wasn’t offered. It was only after I ordered the Snap On box we figured out (actually Michael’s wife found a book from when he first started that had a top box on a two bay ) they even could get them.
I have a couple of the first Matco tool catalogs, the 1979/1980 tool catalogs.Micheal would love seeing a NOS Bonney made Matco metric wrench set in the original roll I have, not a spot of grease and dirt in them.
Hey Clay, Michael said you could walk back behind the cart - so you could get close ups of the inside of the top... Wish you would have done that so we could have got a good shot to compare to snap on layout...
Hey Clay, it would be interesting to see how much extra business you bring to the tool trucks in your area. Has any of them told you how much extra they get because you feature their products on your channel?
Yeah we have talked about it. Of course it helps people know who the dealers are here locally and helps them gain local business but it really helps dealers all across the US. I’ve had other dealers contact me in other states and tell me that they have sold tools I showed.
@@KoonTrucking That it so awesome. It is amazing the power of You Tube channels. And I hope you get a little something extra from these dealers. And please do not tell me if you do, I am not asking that and never would. That is no one business. Keep doing what you do Clay, you are still my favorite channel.
That is a nice cart! Have to admit I really don’t like the slide top carts.. mainly because I have a tendency to pack too much crap on the top while working... closest flat surface and all that. I recently purchased an extreme tools 42 inch cart for that reason. Still has the flip top which I prefer but they designed it so the top drawer is that top storage everyone uses for sockets. Seems silly but I honestly think it’s the best design for being efficient.
Koon Trucking check out the extreme tools box. It solves most of those issues. The tools you would normally store in the top of a service cart (for me that’s my 3/8 sockets and accessories) you store in the top drawer. You can access with the top up or closed. It’s may sound stupid but after using it it’s imo the best design.
Cart looks great, only thing I think they dropped the ball and could have improved on was additional storage in the slide tops. which All their competitors offer
Clay, have you seen up close Matco impact bits? Trying to decide on a set of good impact bits, either buy the Milwaukee or new Makita impact bits from Home Depot or buy that Matco set. Thanks. As always, great video.
We will show it. I have been wanting to see the new Matco slide top since they came out at the new trade show. I’m glad Michael got one for us to check out.
Sadly my matco guy doesn’t let us grab more then two items at a time in fear of getting burnt, smh I always said he’s in the wrong business if that’s how he’s feeling
This box looks just like the old one. Only difference is the placement of the pry bars and screwdriver slots. The down fall of these boxes is the top is too deep. I had one a few years ago from Matco same looking box and I felt like there was so much wasted room in the top where they could have added another drawer. But the Mac slide top has way more room and the slid tops open up on each side with storage in the slide tops.
Man I’m not sure where you are from but here in the South that’s not a bad thing at all because we mean what we say as in your baby boy (male child) is a very handsome kid. The picture they posted of him was absolutely precious and Matco should pay him for the picture to use in the flyers.
yeah I see where you're coming from. guys I work with are alittle more serious, I feel like If i said something like that they'd either not understand me or hit me with something.
Thank you very much definitely couldve used em out in the shops junk yard today considering I have no portable torches to remove round fastners and my irwin set only goes to like 15mm
That long neck ratchet is very disappointing, I just bought one and didn't realize it cant break anything loose, 10mm head and smaller anything bigger it wont do it. So I ordered the brute lol
@@KoonTrucking Thanks, we messed one up today, can't remember who made it but parts come through United rentals , we called our snap on guy and they don't offer 1 1/2 one.

Wish I had me a Matco truck like that. Super friendly and a lot of merchandise on the truck.

Right on
Tee shirts and hats I never sold outright. They were prmo items and thank you for your business. Always gave free with a purchase.
Another day wishing for blue rachets.
Yep
Man he has stepped up his game with that new truck. I realized how easy it is to see the products now even just watching on video. Everything seems so organized and better lighting.
Joe's all star tool monday. Mac daddy Michael Thursday. Snap on Friday. Matco Saturday. I'm jealous of all the tool trucks you have come by your shop
3x too damn it. We are Americans and we are big! Need them 3x baby

Would like to hear the social media side of it because i think Michael said once that she handles all of that.

I’ve been looking at the Snap-on slide top, I just wish that it came with power outlets instead of being sold separately.
@@makeupyourmindinator yeah it's like an extra $100 and takes about 15 minutes to install.
Brilliant video once again, I'm currently on lockdown in Wales United Kingdom, I've watched all your videos big fan thank you and stay safe 🏴
Thank you for watching. I appreciate it
Michael really is such a nice guy! More reps should be like him. Some of them are tools.....selling tools 😂

Very nice looking cart, I’m a fan of the sliding top carts
I’ve got this slide top cart in Matcos green, and I’m in a transmission shop and absolutely love this box!!
Got to be close to first UK in the house
Got my slide top cart last week. I really like it !!!!
One of my buddies has one. He just added a locker to it!! 🤯 lol
What? That’s nuts!
Wow I am going to to talk to Aussie Dave about that cart because I have out grown my Snap-on cart
Cool thank y’all
I'll bet his heart sank when he walked in and saw your new Snap On outfit

Not many videos on the new slide tops except mine and a couple others. It’s been good so far
sweet slide top!
My first tool box was a slide top roll cart
6:13 is when Micheal finally gets the box out and ready you’re welcome 😂
Good job
Wish the Matco cart had the top slid trays like the Snap On cart does.
My corn hole cart is too tall for me to work on top but that slide top would be nice.

Joe should carry the sunnex or ATD version of the slide top

Need this box in 🇦🇺 Australia
Deadrise Marine customs I recon we also need carts like the mac cart and box in Australia,
Too bad the dealership I worked for has pre installed boxes, if they didn't I would have my dealer order up a cart
That's a nice cart he should have no selling them
Is it mac Thursday snap on Friday and matco Saturday now?
Yep and dont forget Joe's allstar tools on Monday.
Awesome yep can't forget joe
What time is your meetup next weekend? I'm in Huntsville and may be able to drive over.
All day Saturday probably get started around 10 that morning

Love them this covers it czcams.com/video/ZkaShiNxbmI/video.html
I can’t find them on the website to see what colors they offer
Did you start filming with a different camera Clay? Keeps losing focus and takes forever to refocus........
No I had the aperture open more from shooting the Mac truck and forgot to turn it back. It’s so much darker on Mac than Matco
@@KoonTrucking Probably because there's so many tools on Mac that limit the light exposure 😆
Is that lifetime warranty like Mac?
Yep
Clay whats the part number on the extractor rings. Can't find the video y'all posted them in.

Ingersall rand, Jet and Chicago Pneumatic all make 1 1/2” impacts not sure who all else makes them but I know for sure those companies make them.
