Big thanks to your Pops for being the everyday hero for so many. Makes me think of how PA has those old industrial towns that when the local plant or industry takes a dip, so does the town. Coatesville comes to mind as another steel city that took a hit. Redefining a city or county is hard and takes a big effort. We have seen it happen in the last decade or two.

When I was a child my whole life revolved around Levittown lake. Caught lots of trout. Then I discovered the bass. Down by the church corner. Stand on the concrete block at night and catch the smallmouth. Tookem to the deli on Haines rd 711 5.3 and 5.7 yeehaw

I'm late seeing this, but Bucks County might be the last sane county in SEPA ( Northern Bucks County looks sane)

@@LivinginPhiladelphia I'm one of the Black people born and raised in Philly that had a chance to live in Montco, Delco, And Chester county. Basically Bucks is the Only with the least of Philly influences ( crime, death, murder, stealing, looting, trash everywhere). Most of East Delco has become little West of Philly. Montco is tooooo Progressive. Chester county is too far.
Bucks county has a mix liberals in the southern half but a majority of upper bucks county is conservative..I want to live near people that treat people with respect, not people that want me to affirm their gender or me worrying about getting robbed or shot

Thanks for sharing your experience Martina. Southampton is further out there! More of a rural scene out there. Great parks and trails too! Do you like that area or do you think the neighbors are making it harder?

Nothing is certain except death and taxes! Plus those Billionaires should be taxed that heavy! LOL But seriously, real estate taxes are a serious consideration for where you are living. While they are the main driver for your local township and municipality, if you don't like how they are spending it or it seems too high, you would want to look elsewhere.
