Dang I know who’s making all the money 😂. Good video and a lot of good information. Be safe
On the topic of staying somewhere safe. Think rv overnighting locations remeber just because your not camping you can park where traveling rv's stay.
Use the following references
Harvest hosts, boondocks welcome, ctackerbarrels are also great and free. Some stated like Texas are an rv friendly state. Most all rest areas in TX are rv friendly for overnighting.
Ryan Hall Y'all on CZcams is a great channel for nation wide weather info.
Thank you for all the information you sharing.
Your videos always inspire and valuable. I'm in the process to finalize everything my dream is about to come through I was holding 3 years ago to be able to hit the road olmsted there. Thank you again. Stay safe out there Sir.
Good video, yes one should be paying to you 5 steps, good how you explained them. Safe travelling.
Great video Paws, great info! Hope you enjoy the new truck. I'll be looking for ya
Ohh yeah. Another Great Video. Top Off Top Off
Solid tips Tim. Thanks for the advice
I need to record a video and send it to you with my thoughts and ways to save money.
Excellent content as always. Stay safe Tim.
Great tips. Also That’s a nice looking truck
Thank you for the great info! I'm a full time RVer looking to get into RV transport this summer. So surfing CZcams to do my research. Love how your information and how you describe it all!
Not sure if a lot of people have overnight apps but RV Parky and All Stays are great for finding free overnight parking.
Nailed it again mate.
Great tips. Thanks for sharing what you’ve learned trying to be most efficient.
Nice new ride!! Great info!
Good info. Thanks
Thanks for the tips on driving truck ....
Hey, got yourself a new or newer truck! What did you end up with? I see it's a longbox super duty, but tell us more. You, my friend have learned what a good truck owner operator needs to know. All that info applies to RV transport as well as class 8 otr. Congrats. Keep up the good work and stay safe.
Good info
Here is another tip....strive to be the best driver on the road...drive defensively...protect yourself...your truck..and the camper!!.....and of course...other drivers!!!
Great videos, what LED unit are you using? Thanks
Wave have a lot of reloads? Heard you mention you have a reload. Nice looking truck......
Hey Mr. Tim, new truck looks great. Can you share your fuel economy when unladen. I’m thinking about the same vehicle.
Fuel surcharge cannot be part of the rate it should be separate on your settlement check
How does delivring class A and C compare to towing campers in terms of profit?
When did u get the new truck? Good info
Is that a 373 rear end if you don’t mind me asking
Thanks for update and information. Great points on how to manage this business. Looking forward to the new truck review. Especially curb weight and GCW rating.
@@TravelinTim Thanks. Can't get the real curb weights on the dealer lots and there's not a lot to look at, either. Stay safe.
How many hours do u like to drive ina day?
How much does your company pay per mile for fuel surcharge
To me the most important thing to do to be more profitable is to have a paid for truck and trailer. We have a 2019 567 Pete and our Shitty trailer and it is paid for. You can't make money if you have high dollar truck and trailer payments, especially with high fuel prices. After that the sky is the limit.
@@TravelinTim It is possible to pay cash for a new truck. You need to know what to sacrifice in order to obtain your goals
Sir, great video, much appreciated. Have you found that a driver could get good loads coming out of the Southwest (TX, AZ, etc.)? I live in Texas and would love to originate from near home on at least a portion of the loads.
@@TravelinTim Yes, that makes sense. Hopefully loads going towards the Southwest are plentiful.
@@TravelinTim wow, that sounds like a lot but I have no idea yet what constitutes a little or a lot in the business. Looking forward to getting to it in the next few months.
Do you use a auxiliary tank
100 gallon. You HAVE to have a tank to be the most profitable.
Do all companies require less than 57 inches the bed height. Is that a dot rule
@@TravelinTim Ok I use to transport fireworks all over the place. I thought it was a pain but this rv transport seems to be that way to. I’m just gathering info for many months to come . Thanks
Are you able to get loads coming back from wherever your hub is or are u out loaded and deadheading all the way back
I get other loads but usually just go someplace else in the country. You're rarely going to get something coming all the way back to where you started. fair amount of deadhead. You just have to factor that into your business model.
I recently retired and was thinking of rv transport . I live in east Texas . Perhaps bringing loads back to texas . I have seen many videos most of them tell you to get a extra fuel tank. I think with all the apps available out there to find cheaper fuel is the best way. Your carrying extra weight in these fuel tanks . I think it’s a complete waste of money doing that. I have a class A CDL with hazmat and tankers endorsement. I’m going to keep watching videos and gather more info . I’m not sure who is the better rv transport company. If I do this . I’m thinking of carrying twice a month and just part time. Thank you
@@TravelinTim I’m thinking part time maybe 2000.00 a month after expenses . Could that be done in 10 days from Indiana to Texas delivery or less days
@@TravelinTim thank. I will go elsewhere to ask questions . You seemed to be bothered. Goodbye
@@TravelinTim I had one guy tell me it’s 6 to 9 days to make 2000 going to Texas.
@@TravelinTim that is some good info . I have a class a cdl but it’s been years since I drove 10 yard dump trucks
@@TravelinTim can you recommend a few transport companies.
Fuel surcharge is $.57 now so diesel fuel drops the three dollars that your rate will drop $.57 is that correct
@@TravelinTim thank ypu
Doesn’t all the truck stops have discount card
Yeah that right
U got a new truck? Dually?
@@TravelinTim Didn't know that! If u have a chance, please explain it on ur next videos! Thanks
Shcrappy weather?
Maybe need to shorten intro. Actually I think you did! 😊
Do transport drivers need their own WD hitch? What about sway?
Some companies require drivers to run WD hitches. Some do not. No one runs anti sway.
Does it take time setting it up for each trailer you haul?
Oh and some manufacturers do not allow WD to be used by the transporter.
@@timdennis5853 not really. Biggest thing is hitch height. If that has to be changed then it takes a bit. WD isn't really needed for the most part but I like running it when I can. Now I pull a lot of airstreams and can't use WD
@@TravelinTim I noticed you have a F250. What are the specs for payload capacity? I didn’t expect it could pull a large 5th wheel.
Wave Express hiring?
Last I heard they were not. I do not work with them anymore but I have friends that do and I think they are on a freeze until fall.
