JAKE CALLING KIRI "BABYGIRL" IS ALWAYS SOOOO ADORABLE 🥰🥰🥰😭
I KNOWWWW. I think it’s a Southern thing generally? I’m definitely gonna use it though if I end up having a daughter one day it’s just too precious 😍
@@thecocoacouch I'm also definitely gonna call my daughter that too and yes it's SOOOO PRECIOUS🤭🤭🤭
@thecocoacouch Yep, it’s a Southern thing! My dad called me and my sisters “baby girl” all the time. Where did the time go?
My dad used to call me that😊
Jake: Go apologize and make peace… but did you win?
🤣🤣🤣
Literally 😂😂 so realistic tho
The movies are actually filmed in water. Thats why it looks so good
Nearly all of the water is computer generated. Only some scenes are done in actual water.
@@Senfree it's actually the other way around, majority was real
@@hayleyjames7197 Everything I search says otherwise.
@@Senfree Watch the behind the scenes
@@hayleyjames7197 That doesn't tell you how much of the water is real. Only that some scenes were done under water.
I wouldn't mind an avatar movie with absolutely 0 conflict in it, the moments I enjoyed the most from the avatar movies were the creatures, world building and the wholesome scenes.
But I'll keep dreaming, since people criticize these 2 movies (even tho they have quite alot of action) for being meaningless aesthetic beauty and boring.
I disagree
Oh totally. Those scenes are what made the first movie for me fall in love with Pandora. I loved watching the family just have normal problems and enjoy the ocean in this movie more than the sea battle tbh. Balance is what’s important though, doesn’t have to be a battle but some conflict is important to make those beautiful scenes more valuable. I wouldn’t say no to a completely non-violent Avatar movie though 😂
Right? Sometimes just being in the world and experiencing it with the characters is enough for me. People will always find something to hate on if they are looking for it though.
fax, and I love the budding romance with tsireya, and everything small in a way, I enjoy the family scenes the most, especially when tsireya is there XD she's gorgeous and angelic in a way.
The Metkayina have smaller noses and ears to prevent water getting in them, a second eyelid to see under water better, wider chests due to the muscles needed for swimming, and wider forearms and tails like flippers to aid them in the water
It wasnt Neytiri " yip" that he recomgnised ot was her very distinct arrows.....i think the feathers she uses HOWEVER her calls are iconic i love them
This movie in IMAX 3D was one of the best theatrical experiences you can ever have!
I bet! 👍
@15:39 he’s talking about the feather tips on her arrows, not the sounds. you were talking during that part but if you go back a few seconds in the reaction, you see him focus in on it with a bit of a traumatized look; understandable since that’s how he died haha. it actually runs throughout the movie! his freezing for a moment when he sees her arrows.
Nah I’m just dumb 😂 thanks for pointing that out 🫣
@@thecocoacouch oh stop it, you absolutely aren’t! i’m just an avatar crackhead who went and saw this film 4 times in theaters and has seen the first one countless times. i can’t help but share what i notice 😭😭. i’m on to part 2 soon. new here and enjoying your reactions!
Oh wow for real!? As much as these videos are good for my new channel I kinda wish I had seen it in theatres hey. Would have looked incredible! Glad you’re enjoying the videos tho ☺️
In the first movie the humans were already there more than ten years before Jake went! That's why there was only one ship, that was bringing more people. What they show here is what they didn't in the first; how they enter the planet for the first time and set up camp in the ruins they created
Yeah it’s nuts!! Like really!?!?! THATS the way you land!? James Cameron was basically like reminding us how bad we are straight away 😂
@@thecocoacouch Looking at it from a purely tactical perspective it's honestly pretty smart; not condoning it by any means, but tactically it works. By landing on the planet in that way they're basically creating a clear beachhead to deploy forces and secure the area. How far were the nearest surviving Nav'ii when the troops actually landed and started offloading their machines and fully clearing the landing zone? They have cleared the area both of enemies and also of thick vegetation that would bog down movement/deployment of forces with the ship's engines.
27:00 jakes boys were taught hand to hand combat, different from how Navi ppl learned to fight. I think that’s why the chief’s son didn’t see the punch coming because maybe he’s never seen a punch before. I love the movie’s attention to detail, it’s incredible really
"This is not a squad. It is a family"
You know... when I watched the movie, I didn't fully understand why Neytiri scolded Jake. Because I didn't really see what he did in any bad way, after all, they messed up and they were in mortal danger so it's a rule they 100% should not have broken.
But then you immediately knew what was wrong about the way Jake talked even before Neytiri spelled it out and it kind off got me thinking.
I wonder what the fact that I did not see it really says about MY family. Oh and my extreme urge to follow rules to a T ...
Hah, this is depressing.
Yeah it intriguing hey, I love that they decided to go in that direction with “family life” problems on Pandora. Keeps things relatable for the audience. I like when things happen in films that seem fine on the surface but affect others so easily in the long run.
"Hey,Neteyam, the mighty fisher" HOW DIDNT I NOTICE THIS IN THE THEATER 😭😭😭
😭😭😭
Remembering that most of that water is computer generated is what's so crazy.
The moon Pandora and its planet Polyphemus are in the Alpha Centauri system, orbiting the largest of the three stars, Rigil Kentaurus (Alpha Centauri A), that system is the closest to us at 4.344 light years so the report of the events from Pandora in the first movie will take that long to reach Earth. However though it's not in the movies, there's a form of faster than light communication based on quantum entanglement and quantum tunneling in this universe that can provide almost instantaneous communication, they have it on both the base and the ships but the bit rate is like 3 bits per hour and costs $7,500 per bit. However, it's probably more than enough to generate a simple message and send it in a few days.
The ships themselves move at 0.7 light speed with periods of acceleration and deceleration of 5.5 months. So from Earth's point of view it would take about seven years while it's a year and some month shorter for the people on the ship due to time dilation. So since there's a fifteen years gap between the movies, the ship that left Pandora by the end of the first movie would've only reached Earth like a year before the armada departed for Pandora.
Also there are like twelve ships in constant rotation between Earth and Pandora.
Thank you very much for this haha. This kinda makes everything make a little more sense. Super worried then to see how Earth handles the new news 😬
Thanks for putting both parts out together. I love your reactions. You definitely earned a new sun man.
Cheers my guy! Wasn’t sure about that decision hey 😂 was worth it!
pretty sure Kiri is like that because her “dad” is Eywa.
Yeah I don’t think I mentioned it in either parts but I connected it to Mary in the Bible giving birth to Jesus from the Holy Spirit.
@@thecocoacouch yeah exactly, eywa gave kiri as a gift to jake
@@fdjgkhfsdkghfskjghdf_ right. makes sense. Sometimes I'll have a thought but then get distracted by the movie and forget to say it and then think I said it afterwards 😂
3:10 - When you said "Epic date night- dragons!" That reminded me of my OWN first actual "date night"... it involved many times on a very wild amusement park ride called "The Zipper", which fit my personality perfectly, considering I was a thrill ride enthusiast, lol.
We changed schools a few times cuz I moved three times due to my dad’s career. For both 3rd and 7th grade, I moved in March/April, so more than halfway through the year. It was so weird being in brand new schools and brand new states at that point. At least I got to go to the same high school for all four years.
22:05 After changing schools, I became more closed in because I was in eighth grade and everyone else I grew up knowing I knew so many people in my old school when I moved where I currently live suddenly I didn’t know anyone, I had a handful of friends throughout eighth grade to my senior year
I think Kiri is "the chosen one" she has the hallmarks of a masiah, miraculous conception, intune with the environment, deep connevtion with "God" ...Na'avi Jesus
Your „NO DUDE AAAAAAA👹“ got me laughing
12:50
I'm proud you mentioned hzd and hfw!!
I feel ya dude at 5:26 I reacted the same way. The producers hinted the kernel would come back but I didn’t know how. I’m with ya about a flying dragon any day (😁). I would ride the skimwing creatures too at 25:26 when I first saw them I called them sea dragons. Lol at 25:39!! I agree I love that shot at 30:49. It’s based off a real photo of a diver touching a whale’s fin and it looked almost like that.
☺️💙🌊🐳🐡🪸
Love all of this!!! Yeah I lost all hope when he came back 😂 awesome that it’s based on a real shot though!
@@thecocoacouch 😊😁. Yeah a real photo of a diver and a whale. U should look it up it’s really neat. 💙🐳
Lol kernel
@@hobi.-. Lol! 🤪😝
5:39 "the na'vi people" = the people people it's like saying chai tea lol (I'm I know that's an annoying thing to point out, but the nerd in me couldn't shut up about it)
I haven't seen the movie for myself yet, so I'll come back later to watch your reaction. I hope you don't mind. Cheers! 💜
Oh that’s okay ☺️ hope you enjoy it for yourself!
After an avatar dies, it’s reborn. They said that in the first movie, I’m not sure if anyone heard them say that haha
I’m fairly sure they say that everyone is born twice and the second time is when you’re accepted among the people in the clan. When they die there energy is just going back to Eywa
Good
Cheers! 🍺
Never thought I’d see Oscar Piastri react to my favorite franchise. I thought you were busy training for the racing, I guess McLaren gave you some time off. Nice
Good job on getting the points last race in Melbourne
😂😂😂 uh THANKS. I work pretty hard so a break is always welcome.
"Co-exist"
Even a higher-up less douchey and more pragmatic higher-up than Parker would view this as "Well these few tribes haven't tolerated our one mining operation. What will they think of one million settlers? One billion? According to Jake's vlogs we humans have nothing worth trading to them, especially not 'blue jeans and lie beer.' Negotiations over."
Some resolution will have to come between the tribes and 20+ billion Earthlings. That I think will be the debate of the whole franchise going forward.
Yeah I guess so!! I guess my simple mind thinks survival of humanity could mean just a small village worth of good humans with good moral values that could almost just start again under the leadership of the Návi, but as we know…that’s a pipe dream 😬
@@thecocoacouch "Cameron has a plan."
@@thecocoacouch
Well, the good news is the original plan in the first movie was to get the Unobtanium for the ships because it allows them to run pretty much forever, so they can go to actually Liveband planets. So they don’t WANT to all live on Pandora.
U didn’t see this in theaters?
Unfortunately no. I wasn’t really able to line up my schedule with family or friends schedules around it’s release so I just didn’t go.
19:47 she did what on purpose?😅
Kiri is more like poison ivy and i think she loves spider
Haha true and do you mean “IN-love”? They all love each other like family but I get different vibes from her hey?
@@thecocoacouch bro like the way she looks at him and cared for him i get in love vibes from it
That’s what I felt I just didn’t wanna assume since people are sensitive 😂
Avatars look like cats, so what do you do if you give them catnip
Jesus is coming and he loves you
