  • The world Premier after 40 years lost !!
    COMPLETE in its entirety
Presented here Part 2 of this lost classic
Part The First! • CLOUDS OF GLORY: Rime ...
still blocked in some country due to the soundtrack...the curse continues!
Also Below is my published piece on this lost banned Ken Russell biopic which was commissioned by Melvyn Bragg south Bank show. in 1978
(I do not own copyright on this for.fun purposes only)
I wish to spread knowledge of this lost movie which because of a copyright clause over a dead composer's music being used (Vaughan Williams) to such an extent that the film has never been released on VHS or DVD nor even streaming ! so as it's "missing " from the Ken Russell cannon and until an official release languishing i thought I'd share this lost masterpiece
the film has been shown at obscure festivals
I'm the first to make in my view Ken Russells best movie available to the world before sky before BBC before talking pictures TV...the lost Banned Coleridge Wordsworth films they didn't want you to see !!
It was broadcast to positive reviews in 1978 on ITV prime time TV on the South Bank show Sunday night Bragg slot .

Thanks so much! I have been dying to see this again since watching it on the defunct CBS Cable channel in the early 80's. The quality of this upload is better than I would have expected.

Thanks for uploading this. It's not lost, per se, it exists, just has never been released on media since the original broadcast.

Indeed. It's more to attract many who thought it lost. Like an added bonus in the heading . Are you a teacher ? Ken Russells widow approved of my published piece on the poet so I do know much of the subject . Many have thought it lost and for many it was. It's only in very recent times that it has been possible to find in any form. I had a barely watchable version with missing segments I got ten years ago after years of looking and the decent version here has only recently become available

A real masterpiece! David Warner (my favorite actor ever) is extraordinary, one of his best performances and roles! I'm so happy to finally have seen this, in such a good quality! Thanks thanks thanks

Sorry, I'm not familiar with the word scraped for or term scraped for. Do you mean that it's a shame that this masterpiece has been hidden for so long?

@@MrBenmanning Absolutely. Its practically a work of art, by the late great 'Sir' Ken Russell. (Woefully overlooked in the honours. These days you seem to have to 'rake' or 'scrape' to find these gems. Well done...

@@degsbabe please look at the accompanying Coleridge film which had a very nasty remark the other day, which I obviously disagree with. I think it's far superior to Julian temples pandemonium Coleridge movie. Do have a look and comment! Warm wishes
