- What's this? A new series? Yes, yes it is. Now I have this going and I See Fire xD yay. I've actually tried to created this story line a few years ago, but just ended up trashing it and now look! I did it xD And the ending with Rosie is a foreshadow, so you not supposed to know :P

Here's how I think colors work in this world:
In my head, those who could see colors have just always talked about them, so those who still saw black and white has a sense of what different colors were. And Kayley just thought "His eyes must be blue" based on how other people described blue, but when she/others see colors, they go "oh, that's what they ment by (insert whatever color)" and just know

I love soulmate AUs and i always thought the colorless sight one was a little boring- until this. Being able to actually see the reactions is priceless. And did NOT see it coming that she might actually lie about seeing colors. Cant wait to see the rest of this

This was amazing. Just loved it. Also the interesting thing im curious about is belle has a crush on Garrett and is lying caz she wants him. But what will happen when she may eventually find her soulmate. Will she still want garret since she has love for him over a match up soulmate

I love this already! I love the editing and everything. I love soulmate au's Belle is lying, isn't she? Miguel could see colors as soon as he bumped into Garret, unless it's possible to have more than one soulmate but this au doesn't seem to follow that rule.

Oh my, what an intriguing and original idea! I might not be much into Soulmate AUs, but this one caught my attention mostly thanks to these three Cosmos' (and them being in a millenia-long argument) and the fact that people can lie about finding their soulmate.
I love this vid, especially the transition from grayscale to color (the music choice is so clever!)
I'm hyped for more.
I only kinda wish Cosmos' had more editing/effects on them, like some ethereal glowing or white eyes, showing that they are basically gods of this world. But that's just a nitpick; edit them as you like =)

I like the way that Kida has been used as a Goddess n been cruelly manipulated by Pathos. It’s not cool to limit human restriction n neither is this whole Covid Mess. In a nutshell, I really like it n I see how this to prob a lot of people, this reflects how everyone feels. Well at least I feel that way n I am just coping as best as I can along with everything n everybody else. I know we’re all stressed. All the characters are very well-rounded. It excellent quality animation. The colours are 👍 great. The stark split between good n light is very good and exactly how my own brain feels sometimes.

I appreciate the thought process into this and the editing but I have some problems with it.
when they meet their soul mate, do they only start to see colour?
because I would feel finding a soul mate would just be a troublesome way of finally seeing colour and even tho it may be a social norm to find ur "one true love " in such a way, I would question the legitmacy of having to be bounded to a person just by the "finally seeing colour " basis..
unless, seeing colour is just a benefit to it and u feel a strong pre determined attachment to ur soul mate.
which then leads to a whole barrel of other problems. I know obviously this is just a short clip with no huge lore to build it up.
but why would belle fake that the aberration is her soul mate? when she would never be able to see colour without seeing her true soul mate.
how does a person have a soul mate with an aberration? in this clip it shows that the aberration is blind. but does the abberation not have a soul mark attached to his skin or is he just blind to not be able to distinguish his soul mate/ or not able to distinguish his soul mate clearly.
what happens if u find ur soul mate as a baby or a kid? is it like when parents arranged two kids to be married when their of age?
in the terms of sex. do u only feel a sexual attraction and attention to ur soul mate?
This is genuinely so good, I've always loved Soulmate AUs and all the different things you can do with them, and I think it's the first time I see it done in this community!! I also don't think I'd EVER seen it from the perspective of the deities who created the soulmate system watching over the humans, that's a really interesting place to take the story. The idea of people using loopholes to exploit the system and lie about their soulmates is also something I'd thought about before so I love that you have that with Belle! I can't wait to see what you do with this series in the future.
(I'm just wondering how Kayley could think Miguel's eyes were blue before she knew what colors were x'DD)

My father has a form of vision deficiency that doesn't let him see colors properly, so he's mostly had to try and learn what "shades" of what he sees correspond to which colors despite not being able to tell them apart himself. So I guess that's what people in this universe experience before meeting their soulmate!

I love this! My only question is. Why is Ethos so against the idea of making finding your soulmate easier? Do they believe it should happen naturally? Doesn’t that risk that the soulmates will never find each other? What’s wrong with making it easier?
Sorry lots of questions, but it’s only because I love this idea so much!
Ethos cares about human's ethics and the ability to choose and make their own decision, learning from them. With soulmarks, the people just decided to only date their soulmate, and that's it. Humans aren't dating anybody else, so once they actually meet their soulmate, they have no clue how to be in a relationship or who they are as a person really. Humans can't learn and grow from other people and by BEING with others. Ethos just sees humans as stagnant now, with hardly any ability to make their own decision.
