      Los Italianos son más "Latinos" que los Españoles o los descendientes de los Españoles (Hispanoamericano o Latinoamericano) Latino viene de Latín, el idioma que se hablaba en el Imperio Romano. También viene porqué la provincia Latium/Latio/Lazio/Lacio es la provincia de la ciudad de Roma y la capital de Italia y obviamente del Imperio Romano. Hispania (España y Portugal) era una Región importante del Imperio. Cuando los Españoles y Portugueses conquistaron América (Latinos-Hispanos) por eso el término Latino-Americano. Los gringos lo resumen en Latinos de ahí la confusión. Aunque ellos realmente los distinguen más por la "raza" cuando ser Latino es más una etnia o cultura. Realmente el gringo debería decir Indio, Amerindio, Mestizo, Mulato o simplemente Latinoamericano o Hispanoamericano. Porque Latino definitivamente no es una raza ni es exclusivo de ningun Américano. Lo mismo que un gringo no es un American...como ellos se autodenominan.

    • @SAACAAS

      Latino is a historic word. The world is not only "English people". Latino is all Spanish people inclusive Spaniard (Spanish too no?). Latín is a old language. Spanish is a modern language derivates of the old latín. Latin American are named so because they talk spanish, Portuguese or other Romance language derivates of latín. English are very silly and jealouse. Americana are not only US Citizens. In your dictionary, American or North American is only a US Citizens, no? Lo que sois es unos prepotentes de mierda. great interview but maybe 'hispanic' would be a a better word? Hispanic means Spanish speaking, so it encompasses both Spain and Latin America. But latino solely means 'from Latin America', and he is clearly from Europe....totally different continent. • @Tamiguchi
      @Tamiguchi Před 5 lety +6

      Spaniards are Latinos. The word latino comes from the Italian region where Latin language was born. Italians, Portuguese, Spaniards, as well as Latin American people, are latinos too. Latin America got that name because of the Latin Europeans that conquered it. Otherwise, it wouldn't have Latin in the name and would be called something else. Just because latinoamericano is usually shortened to latino in the US, doesn't mean that the word latino doesn't have a wider meaning in other countries.
