Wrong - she didn't hurt his ego - she attempted to place herself in a position of importance that she does not occupy. If Uganda wants to get money from an EU state, I can assure you, the Ugandan President will talk directly to that president of the particular EU country directly. She is not a premier, nor president - she is a bureaucrat of the EU - a switchboard operator of information between the states. She has done this (exerting herself at levels above her position) on several instances and has regretted it every time. She was also overlooked at the last G7 Summit and rightfully so - she has no place there. Presidents and Premiers talk directly to each other, not through some bureaucrat in Brussels who cannot execute any decisions without working with said President of an EU member state. I don't agree with not shaking her hand as it wouldn't have hurt anyone, but he chose not to based on her position of not being the key player(s) to obtain monies from an EU country - in this case France.

So much respect for Macron, I could tell that disrespect made him and Ursula both uncomfortable. They're from nations where people are treated from respect and they respected their nations very well. I looked up some statistics on Ugandan women... and I was not surprised to see how badly they are treated based on their own Leader's actions as he sets the example for men in his country.
Wrong! First of all, The Ugandan Foreign Minister doesn't have to shake her hand as she is NOT a foreign minister on the same level as him NOR is she a President of any country. Her position is 100% bureaucratic and frankly a switchboard for information flow between the states in the EU. This is not the first time that she was "set aside" and it has nothing to do with being a woman - that's a feminist excuse to obscure the reality - her actual position or lack thereof. She attends the G7 Summit but for what reason? All or most of the presidents, premiers or leaders of each country present, personally attends - so why is she there? If I were the Prime Minister of the UK for example, I wouldn't talk to Leyen if I wanted to discuss a business deal with the German or French Leader - I'd go straight to them directly. The only reason she got this position is because former German Chancellor Merkel got her this job - she wasn't even voted in. Since her inception, she has tried on numerous occasions to assert herself in roles which finds her "backtracking" instantaneously. For example the latest with Russia and the proposed oil embargo. First she makes known privy information to the public about an embargo that most EU countries haven't even agreed on - in particular Hungary - 90% of it's oil comes from Russia. Again, she spoke out of turn and got her azz handed to her. Her job is to ascertain the flow of information between the member states, and work with all of them to formulate and ECONOMIC plan that serves the EU best - that's her job. She failed at her last job as the former German Minister of Defense - zero qualifications or background, but thanks to her friend Merkel, she got that position too. It has nothing to do with being a woman, but the qualifications and duties of said position one is currently occupying - a man in her position would have been told long ago, to stay in his lane - believe that.
