Mike , you have me considering racing. I’ve kept pigeons for 30 years. The guys in local clubs that I met , treat their birds as commodities that have no value other than wins. Listening to your compassion for the birds has me thinking if I met some others like you, I would join a club.
In my club there are a lot of good guys. It’s a good experience as long as you don’t take it too seriously. You definitely don’t have to race them to enjoy them, but each race day is special watching them come in.
Hope all is well and you should do things as you feel are correct and to your liking enjoy the day my friend jope to see a update soon been wondering where you been 🙏🏼💪🏼🏆🧬
@@Rocky.Ridge.Pigeons Mike all is well. I still have the birds. Still planning on getting out of the business. I have been busy working and not alot of time to be with the birds.
Just want to make sure these young birds have everything they need and don’t want to take any shortcuts at their expense. I make little changes all the time and see how it affects them, but I think I’ve got a good mix at the moment. Thanks for the support, my friend.
Awesome video as usual Mike! I love how you speak your mind, and as a listener it's as if I'm sitting right next to you sitting at that spot drinking coffee too 😂. You're absolutely right, do what YOU think is right and yes the birds will tell you a lot if one pays attention. Love the way you load the birds into the truck 😉
may i make a suggestion about the landing on the house. how bout nxt time before you let them out, place some items on the house roof, to encourage them to land staright on the loft
these Pakistani high flyers fly well over a mile high. Only reason yours are flying low is that they see racers as droppers. Droppers work great of these high flyers. You also need to train them for landing in dark using lights, check out how Joe at moatside loft does it and how he uses droppers.
Just a little update on the bird I called in on Tuesday. It returned yesterday, Sunday. When it saw the carrier it was like a switch went on and it took off in the direction of home. Hope it made it!

When you start first race for 2024 young birds?
Our first race is the third weekend in September so the birds have plenty of time. Thanks for asking.
Do you have any pure white pigeons for sale? Ideally I am looking for a pair.
@@austinainsworth9141 I do have some for sale. It would be a very young pair. You can email me at:
