Thanks for the video. I was almost certain I wouldn't find a video showing how to freeze dry rhubarb but yours was here and just the right length to make my search successful!
Thanks so much! I just got my Harvest Right (medium size.....4 trays) and have dandelion flowers in 2 trays and leaves, washed and spun like lettuce, in 2 trays. But I really needed to know about the rhubarb because it's almost ready to process from the garden. I think I'll soak in sugar water a bit, then freeze dry.....my little granddaughter LOVES rhubarb! So hopefully this will be a good treat.
Thanks I was wondering How Is rhubarb would work and now I know.. I love the tip about soaking it in sugar water and then drying it for it would be like a quick candy love that idea
I came here wondering the same thing. Processed some a couple weeks ago and it is almost a dry spongy texture. Is it supposed to become completely hard to where it could be powdered or does it stay flexible?

Would it make sense to blanch it first? It's a vegetable, technically, not a fruit, right?
I freeze dried the rhubarb, I have 164 Mt. But it's still seems soft. Why is this not working for me
Im curious what the texture should be when done. I'm trying it now and it isnt hard , but flexible yet.

Why is it still spongy
