Im an oilers fan. If they were willing to take campbell back LOL. Then i would send our 2024-2025 first round picks, broberg, Lavoie and a 2024 second round pick for him. We may need to send another pick or maybe someone like Gleason back as well since hes doing so good with the condors right now. I know our GM has contacted the Preds about Soros so we will see. We would keep him tell the end of his contract and either sign and trade him or let him walk. We are in win now mode!

Even as a Devil’s fan, this ask is a huge PASS. The guy is 30 years-old already, and his finest years are likely behind him. In addition, I don’t think we *need* a superstar goaltender - just a slightly above average guy, who stops what he *should* stop, and makes a dazzler here, and there.

Saros would be a good bounceback candidate next year for my favorite team, the Devils, but paying him $8M a year after he turns 30 - a small, athletic goalie who relies on his reflexes - is incredibly risky, especially as he ages.

A contending team in need of goaltending, would be wise to scoop up Saros.

I don't think the Preds can fetch much more than a 1st and a decent prospect for Soros, given he hasn't been that good this year. He's overrated IMO. I would take that tho if Im the Preds considering I think Askarov can start as early as next season. If the Preds can pull a 1st and an underachieving prospect like Turcotte(given the bonehead deal they did for Dubious maybe they can even get the Kings to throw in Kaliyev) I would do that in a heartbeat! A 1st, Kaliyev and throw in a jag and I think that gets done.

Not at that price. He hates to trade first round picks, in an interview he said that he hated give up one to get Debrincat. No way he gives up two of them plus a prospect who was a first round pick. No way he gives up that much.

@@redbeard6403 I said before and I'll say it again, ... if you've found yourself apologizing about "how wrong i was.." about a player acquired through draft or free agency MULTIPLE TIMES (☝️for the better..) over the last 2-3 seasons that's usually a sign and a direct compliment to the current GM behind it all..
Now keeping that in mind, what GM or GM's do you feel get fans apologizing the most about a player from who they drafted or acquired the most of Detroit 4 sports teams?.. 🤔

Absolutely not marner is good definitely. But it would have to be marner maybe draft picks or pospects for saros. Marner is alone kind of overrated, hes on a team that can score and he himself is a very light body and looking how the preds are usually average-big body people (maybe not currently but most of our important pasts) i dont see this one happening. Too big of a payroll with marner for us
