- My sister called and said there was a noise coming from her brakes, she headed up from Nashville TN and we got to work replacing the front and rear brake pads and rotors. We both had a lot of fun making this video. Hope you folks enjoy it!

This video is so rad. "Torque it to the proper specs" Zapp zapp Zapp 😂
I actually replaced my pads and rotors a few weeks ago. I'm just here for the sister.
About to do mine on my 2011 Avalanche. This was helping and funny as hell. I'm definitely stealing the 'Torque to spec' line, at home and at work. Thanks for you time and education.
Thanks good luck!
Lol. 🤣 I love it! Hella funny. What I liked and appreciated most of all was how honest, down to earth and real you keep it in your video.
Thanks!!
Thank you for this video helps a lot cuz idk nothing about automatics but I also have to say your sister is stunning 😍 wow take care guys
Just got done doing front rotors and pads and a sumbitch caliper on my 99 F350 4x4. It wasn't fun cuz I did it the driveway and I have bad knees, but we got er done. Keep up the enthusiasm and keep fixin stuff. Mustie 1 will be looking to you for hints.
I thought your video was awesome. The torquing to spec was to die for :)
Thanks 😂😂
Great video... all the specific details one would be seeking
You remind me of my brother. He was a great mechanic. 35yrs ago he was 100% ASE certified in gas & diesel engines. The only problem is he is still using the same techniques from 35yrs ago.
You made that job look fun pal! All you needed was to have a beer while working; then we'd all relate! Good job mate! And I've always wondered about those clips...now I know.
Thank you!!
Love your videos funny and very intertaning
Great video...love it!!!
Thank you!!
So funny great video gotta change brakes on my 2010 Lanche
Thanks, your video made it easy for me. Oh yeah, I torqued to spec just like you recommended.
Glad you got your ride fixed up!
yeah, I need to do my front rotors
You sir are awesome and have earned a new sub!!
Thank you!
Very informative and funny as I would probably be. 😂 But I'm glad I found this. I need to replace mine soon too.
Thanks for watching!
Yes, sir!
I have to ask you though, did you bleed the breaks before replaced the rotors and break pads?
@@AzMetalScorpion No last thing I do is bleed brakes before putting the wheels back on
That doesn't hurt the breaks?
What size were the torque bolt holding the rotor in?
Good to know about those pain in the ass clips!! I hate wrestling with them, now I can just rip em like I want to.
Comedy dude! 🤣...
This would have come in handy cause my neighbor EL Jakoff asked me to help do his buddies brakes but then they flaked out on the job 😠
Does this guy have more videos like this
My light just came on after work. I had pushed on my break and shifted to reverse to back out of my parking spot. The brake pedal made a weird squeal and it flashed on. Now it feels funny. I press on it and initially it feels fine. I start pushing harder tho and it feels lighter. And I have to push all the way to get a complete stop and even then it takes a distance to do so. Fluid is fine so I can’t figure out what’s wrong since I’m not that handy with cars. Trying to figure out
Did you pump them up good after installing new brakes ?
@@kentuckyyankee they aren’t new brakes they’re what was there when I bought it. Idk about the squealing but I found why the response was bad. My rear line by my drivers side was leaking pretty hefty. Just took it in to the shop cause I’m not an experienced mechanic at all.
Your sister has a nice all black ‘10 Avalanche. You should see my all white ‘02 Avalanche. Mine has dual piston rear calipers. And, when I say “all white”, it’s all white. All of the plastic was hit with some self leveling high build, then primed and painted. Send me a link I’ll send you some pics.
High Sister!
What model drill motor is that? I have a practically unused and well-oiled DeVilbiss pneumatic impact wrench running at 90psi, and it is evidently gutless compared to what you're throwing at those lugs and caliper bolts. I nearly gave myself a hernia getting those caliper bolts off, which required 1) SiliKroil penetrating oil 2) box end wrench + 5lb hammer and 3) pretty much stand on a 18" breaker bar with a 24" cheater
😂😂 Milwaukee
Are you suppose to bleed brakes with new fluid?
If you bleed them ....yes
Just did my 2010 Chevy Avalanche LT 4X4, should have watched this first for entertainment purposes. I also "torque to spec", basically where my elbow says STOP! I still use the anti squeak blue juice on the inner pads, never know if that actually works, I guess it just makes me feel better? I hate those rear brake parking shoes....
Glad to hear you got the job done!
shouldn't you open the bleeder valve when pushing the caliper out?
Nope
Great Video 😁
Hahahaha ..awesome.. Torque to SPECS!!!! Im going and change my brakes and rotors no
😂😂
Why no bleeding of the brakes ???
No need to because the hydraulic system was not opened.
Lol you can work on my truck any day
😂😂
Hello! Sister
😂😂
You don't have to bleed them?
You only have to bleed the brakes if you open the hydraulic system.
Ok,thanks
Lmao! Torque it to specs!!!! Rat tat tat at!!
😂😂
I did not know i was watching NASCAR . Slow down you will make less mistakes . One more thing Leave the cute girl along
Duh.
torque to specs....I can't find any specs!!
😂😂 Keep looking.
Are you like mad all the time or is it that you like yelling at the camera.
