The first upgrade to Mrs Shoogly's new Yamaha Fazer 600 is ditching the factory fairing and switching out to modern riser bars and a standard headlight!

You are living a dream of mine having your own garaje to work on bikes, and also because the xjr1300 is my dream bike as well, but for now and few years I will be taking care of my Suzuki gsx650f and getting to learn as much as possible from it. Looking good man. Mrs Shoogly shed fazer will be a great first big bike. Bigger headlight looks good and fits between the forks better, I would agree with the clocks maybe smaller would be better to go with the neater front end. 👍👍

Only suggestion I have is cut you switch off your triple trees relocate it. And move your clocks down against your triple trees so they will not fare away. Just a idea. Looks good sir. Great job.
The best part about this video is how he shares his knowledge and shows us how to get the nose cone off.
2 plastic rivets inside, 2 screws outside, 4x10mm nuts from the mirrors and it falls right off. than 2 screws for the metal cage that golds fairing and headlight and 3 nuts that hold the speedometer and thats about it.
👍definitely an improvement! I agree with you about the gauges but if it was me I'd be able to live with it until the solution came to me. Good stuff!

Love it! One thing I see as a possibility would be to modify the gauges and eliminate the dummy lights to allow the cluster to move rearward over an inch. Maybe change the dummy lights to a small LED? Just thinking out loud. Love the bike so far though!

Hi Euan, how about a wee alloy cowl that starts at the top of the headlight and the covers up to the back of the clocks, could colour code and would add a wee cafe touch and tidy back of wires 💡 just a thought dude, doing same to a big Fazer would be cool, hope yer well 😊 and love the XJR1300 😎

I am not a fan of indicators on a bike - one thing that I would say is they are close together which from a distance other road users can get confused as to which direction you are indicating to go, so would not rely on them especially in the dark. overall I do like the cleaner look though :)

That looks great, even the clocks, although see your point about them sticking out a bit. Will the bracket you made suffer with vibes a bit?
Also a concern. No sure!! I think the solution all round is smaller clocks 🤷🏻♂️😅

Hi mate how did you wire up the headlight from the twin duals?I'm doing the same but can't figure out how to get hi and low beam working properly
Preferred it as it was but if you want to subtract value from your bike carry on. It's your bike and if it makes you happy just do it
