The details are looking great. Those 3D printed carbs are a big improvement over the kit ones. I also have an awful time getting the drill centred when drilling out holes.
cool looking so far nice clean job BG .I am sure you will come up with something for the seat nuts maybe small head straight pins never know here to help you think 🍪🍪🍪🍪🍪🍪 looking forward to the next up date . 👍
Hi Deen!! Thank you my friend! I think we have a solution for the seat cover snaps. I had thought about stick pins, but felt they were a bit large. Hopefully my idea works out! 😁🍪🍪🍪🍪
The old girl is looking good Brian. And if you're worried about the holes, fill em in with the right size rod and redrill them. I have had to do that myself more than once. If you need a little tip on how to get it perfectly centered, just say the word and I will make a vid showing how.
Love the details! I got some the nuts and bolts and thought they look too thin, like they're not thick enough. I haven't tried to take them out maybe they're embedded in the carrier and are actually thicker. I bought Plastistruct hex rod to cut to the thickness I want. The bare metal belly pan looks awesome. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Alan, the photo etch nut and built sets are very thin! I think your solution is a great idea! However, for the snap heads, it seems to work out great!!
Maybe one of those fancy dead center tools will help with hole drilling? I was in the same boat as you, couldn’t get a nice row of holes but the dead center tool helped me out there for starting straighter holes.
Well, I did use one. I just couldn't get the tie nib of the molded in spark plug fully removed. So the drill bit did wonder. I plan to place the spark plug boots in today and see if they mask my wonky holes. If not, I may add some styrene rod into the holes and re drill them
The Midget's progress is looking amazing Bryan. I can't wait to see your next update on it. Take care and stay cool.🥶🌡
Tom S.
Hi Tom!! Thank you! Loving this build! Oh boy it is steamy here already for sure! Hope you stay on the cool side too my friend!!
Nice work, sir! The Iceman carbs look ridiculously good! That, and the foiling work was inspired! Looking forward to seeing the finished product.
Thanks Ajax!! 🙏😁 Just trying to keep pushing that envelope of build quality. 😉
Great progress, the chassis looks fiddly, but went together well, nice wheels, I like the idea of using the metal foil inside, all looking good 👍
Thanks Martin! Indeed the chassis is delicate! However, I. Hoping it was the worst part of the build.
Looks like everything is coming together quite nicely so looking good 👍👍
Thanks Charles!!
She's coming along very nicely, Bryan!
Thanks John!!
I love how it's turning out
Thanks Matt!! 😁
Great update, thanks for sharing! Looks like a bit of a project!
Hi Mike, oh yes, as usual I have found a lot that looks simple and fun and turns out to be quite a project! 😁
Coming along great, agree that photoetch steering wheel looks sweet. Engine is looking great too
Thank you! I really need to do more photo etch on model cars. Sometimes it can really help the build be more realistic.
Lookin Gooooooooood !!!! Like the foil idea !!
Thank you Steve!! It's tiny but mighty!! 😁
Looking awesome, BG!
Thank you!! Once we get the ignition wires sorted! We should be ready for assembly!! 😁
Can't wait to see it finished
Thanks Carl! Me too! I like this little racer! I would like to do another one soon. Maybe with custom graphics.
The Midget is coming along great Bryan 😃
Thank you so much Jim! ☺️ I find myself struggling with it because bod how delicate it is.
Looks great BG. Thanks for sharing .
You bet!! Thank you!!😁
That’s a big job on the midget. Love the way it’s turning out. Definitely go with the ice man carbs.
Thanks Onix! Yeah, they sit right there in the breeze where everyone can see them! May as well use the best! 😁
That is a really cool looking build!!
Thanks Larry! 😁🙏
Really is coming along nicely Bryan
Thanks Tom! I would never have guessed this would be so time consuming!
Very cool BG
Thank you Justin!! 😊 Feels like I'm working a 1/32 scale model!
The details are looking great. Those 3D printed carbs are a big improvement over the kit ones. I also have an awful time getting the drill centred when drilling out holes.
Hi Steve! Thanks! Oh my yes, even with a special little tool for creating a point to drill at, I still have trouble getting a bullseye! 🎯
That's coming along pretty cool.
Thank you Mars!! 😁 It's more involved than I had originally thought!
beautifil job man, love how the wheels turned out
Gracias Marcos!! ☺️ The dull coat over the gold is great look!!
Very cool build
Thank you!!!😁
Wow she's looking good
Thank you Travis!!
I think it's looking great, brother, coming along nicely ✌️😁
Thank you Steve! I can't believe such a small kit can take so much time to build! 😁
@@BGsModelWorkshop I can (believe it), I'd have trouble seeing it, lol 🤪😆
Looks great. Now your making me look bad. Thanks for the idea's BG
Hi Sam! Nah! Only here to help. 😁 Please do use any ideas! And thank you!!
cool looking so far nice clean job BG .I am sure you will come up with something for the seat nuts maybe small head straight pins never know

Looks like a fun kit.
It certainly is Dale! But it is delicate!!
Nice work 👍👍
Cheers Eric!! ☺️
Coming along great
Thank you Chester!!!😁
Looking good Bryan, nice work so far!
Thanks Jethro!! 😁 I still can't believe how involved this little build is!
Great update looking good bud awesome job!
Thanks Mike!! 😁
for the body pan bottom you could use the Mark Battsen method he uses old pie tins. But then bare mettle foil is a great idea.
Hi Mark! Pie tin is a great idea! But I wanted to use up all this old BMF. So that's working out great! 😁
Real cool Bryan👍
Thank you Paul! I feel this build is right up your alley!! 😀
Looking good Bryan
Thanks Sammy!!!😁🙏
Nice update.... will be cool...
Thanks My friend! 😁 Such a tiny build 😁
Nice build so far 😁
Thanks Daniel!! ☺️ It's been fun! So far...😁
Thats coming on awesome mate.
Thank you Cal! 😀 With luck, it will be done soon!

Hi Marc!! Great idea!! I may try that if the wire boot doesn't hide the offset well enough! Thank you!!

Pretty cool!! Looks kinda intense for an older simple looking kit
Exactly Chris! Well said!😁

Thank you!!!😁
Nice work, even if you tell me they are the worst holes you've ever drilled. 😂
LOL!! But wait, I can do worse!! 🤣
@@BGsModelWorkshop nope! That's my job! Just wait until you see my next video! 🤣
Leave the trailer black, just dry brush it to make it look worn from driving it up and down, 😉
Now that is an awesome idea!! 😉 Thank you!!
Brian you need to paint the Quick Change Center section magnesium that is the rear end sir what it is called
Thank you William!
