For real, Highlight has always set the bar high for a live vocal performance. Most of the time, when I accidentally saw a performance, it was hard to decipher whether those idols are singing live because of the MR and their low volume microphone. But Highlight, their singing is even louder than the MR and very refreshing to listen to.

Did you realised something? If compare the background sounds in mv vs this live stage, you'll noticed that they reduced the volume of the background sounds. Here, their vocals really stood out.

This song is not just a song. Its a saviour, its comfort, a warm breeze
Fun fact : since BEAST debut they're almost never lipsync. The one time they're lipsync in MAMA award on 2012, and it was only Yoseob who doing the opening, dancing and walking in the building toward the stage and I swear he can't lipsync at all, I keep laughing when he do that. But on the stage they're clearly singing live.
Another fun fact : in Good Luck era some people accused BEAST to be lipsync because their vocal are so flawless and stable while doing hard dances. Since that every BEAST member especially Yoseob, Junhyung, and Hyunseung always give a lot of ad-libs or randomly shouting "Hey!" "Yeah!" "Woo!" on the stage.
Edited : it was on MBC Gayo Daejun on 2013, Yoseob singing and lipsync caffeine, Junhyung singing and lipsync flower. LOL. I swear they can't lipsync! ㅋㅋㅋ

Once they came to Malaysia for MTV Worldstage and their vocals were so a good a local newspaper wrote they were lipsyncing...that's just how stable they are and have always been lol

I Stan a group singing live and you can easily tell they are...... this is what having 13 years of experience means.... they were around when everyone had to actually sing live and it shows
The dance routine itself was super busy for the members but yet still maintaining their vocal. Their breathing technique also screamed "Legendary"
I mean... during debut days they usually trained singing their song while jogging. Stability is one of their expertise haha

"Not the end" really saved me
I remember the first time I saw their live stage at a small concert venue. They truly sang like they eat CDs, even with the bad microphone quality they somehow made it work. I truly respect Highlight as a singer and artist, I wish I can go to their concert again later!

Back then dongwoon was considered a “weak” vocalist but in nowadays his vocals would grant him a lead vocal AT LEAST and people would be praising him bcs “omg hes so stable”. This is the power of 2nd gen idols. They can sing live :)
