  • How to set up a new router if you have a PVS6 reporting back your solar power generation to SunPower. This is for when you're already set up, and change to a new router. The SunPower PVS 6 will need to be updated with the new Wifi SSID (name) and the password. This shows how it is updated.

Thank you for an excellent video. It solved the problem completely. SunPower should be ashamed of their terrible user interface.

Awesome. Glad it helped get you going. Sorry I am a bit too wordy and verbose at times in the video. I appreciate the kind words.

Thank you for the detailed video. My Sunpower is on, In the mobile app it shows Communicating through Ethernet, but not using any power. When I login to my sunpowerconsole page, the filed after "Select the site type:" is empty. It doesn't show any wifi or cellular hotspot to connect.

Yes, apologies. I think I skipped over that in the video. You should see Residential and a 2nd (Commercial?). Click on the Residential.

After you click "Residential" for Site Type, then you should see the page with "ethernet, wifi, etc"

So I logged in to the new PVS6 wifi (I made sure I had the correct one) and then I go to the website but it gives me the "403 Forbidden" page on my iphone. I tried Chrome and Safari with same results. What am I doing wrong? Thank you for making this video.

403 forbidden is normally the error when you haven't logged in correctly (username, password). I'd go back and rewatch the part where you use the markings on your PVS6 to A) make sure you're logging into YOUR solar system (e.g. you're in a home with other neighbors who also have a PVS6) and then B) use the Serial number to figure out YOUR password (this keeps your neighbor out of your system). The logic being, they won't have access to your SN to guess the password.

To be more specific, do the last 3 digits of your WIFI network name and the last 3 of your Seriel Number match? If not, you're on the wrong PVS6. If so, go to @04:26 in the video and make sure the password is entered correctly.

This website does not load regardless of how you type in the name..

Are you meaning the sun power console dot com? Are you on your PVS6's Wifi? Take a look at your wifi network and make sure it starts with SunPower and ends with the last 3 digits of your PVS6 serial number. Try turning off the breaker to your PVS6 (verify the light's off on the front) for 4 minutes, and then turn it back on. Re-connect to your wifi, and try again.
