    Oh man, thanks for the last tips on how to unparent. I have hard time finding a video which also teaches user how to unparent.

    I like how you use 2 child then an adult parent to explain this.

    Parenting is really useful even if you have to make some Work around, I used it to transform a 3D Spherical Eye into an Flat Eye by parenting the eye to an Empty and scaling to be flatter, then with another empty I set the tracking and copying rotation locally direct in the eye the eye tracking got nice even "2D"

    Hi Ryan, I have a non related question, but I believe you are the right person for me to ask. Say that you import a character from UE into Blender, an FBX file. As you know, when you edit the character in Blender, it's in tris and not quads. Say that you don't do anything to the polygon, and all you do is change the materials e.g. clothing, armor, etc. Then you bake and so on. Would it be a problem with Blender and UE when you export the character back into UE to use it? Thanks for taking the time, and Happy New Year! 😊

    What are your thoughts on the default coordinate system for parenting: parenting with inverse, and how does it differ from parenting without inverse ?

    First of all, I congratulate you on Christmas. In Cinema 4d, all objects placed inside the Null object form a group. A similar tool in Blender is the Empty tool. In C4D, when you put the Null tool (with all the objects inside) into a generator - Subdivision, symmetry. array etc.; genarotor affects all objects. But in Blender, you have to assign separate genarotors to each object. Does the Blender community have a solution for this? Or is there an update in progress?
    Thanks.

    Do you have a tutorial for procedural fire without simulations? Simulations always crash Blender on me.

    hello, can i ask you what parenting has to do with materials ?

  • @hotsauce7124
    @hotsauce7124 Před 7 měsíci

    Thank you so much! When I pressed Ctrl+P, all the children moved to a new location. Is there a way of parenting without the children moving to a new location?

    • @hotsauce7124
      @hotsauce7124 Před 7 měsíci

      Figured it out: Select “Object (Keep Transform)” and the children will not move away. Thank you for this tutorial.

    As a beginner learning blender, i am little worried if i will get a job as 3d artist. What are your thoughts?

    • @RyanKingArt
      @RyanKingArt  Před 8 měsíci

      Hmm, yeah that's a hard question to answer. You can definitely learn the basics of 3d, with Blender. However, most 3d studios don't use Blender, so it may also be a good idea to learn some other program. I don't have much experience with that, since I run my own online business, so I don't work for a company.
