  • This is a review of the Xvive U3 microphone and speaker system. These 2.4ghz wireless dongles can make any microphone wireless. But it can also make any speaker with and xlr input wireless too. We tested the system out for you.

    Nice! Thank you so much for this video. GREAT functional test, as you are using it exactly as I wanted to use it.. .for speakers. I work at a bar with a strange shape... and a I need to do a long 90ish foot run. My DDJ SX 2 in the case is too shallow to plug the transmitter in directly and was planning on using a short XLR cable to rig it.. just like you did.. so that's question 1 answered.. I didn't know about the dual charging cord, another question answered, and then the sound test you did was on point.. my last question answered.. so .. thank you!

    Great video! Quick question, i noticed the setting was on "mic" instead of "line" for when you first connected speakers (which i will be doing), was that on purpose, or does it matter when going board/mixer to speaker?

    • @djerniet350
      @djerniet350 Před 2 lety +1

      It has to be on line when it's not used for a microphone. Microphone signals are lower than line signals, so the mic signal is boosted. Which is why it will be too loud if you use it in the microphone mode, if it's not plugged into a microphone.

    Nice test man, but I was hoping you'd do one last test. Maybe you've tried it by now and you can tell me? Go from the board (or phone using bluetooth) to one speaker with one wireless, then go from that speaker to the 2nd speaker using the second wireless, as you would using an XLR cable. Is there any delay in the 2nd speaker? I got the EV ZLX-12BT, and when you run the blue tooth on the left speaker, you can send the right channel through the speaker's XLR to the right speaker. It would be nice to do that wirelessly, using just 2 speakers, a phone, and power cables.

    Hello, I bought the set of XVIVE and tested it on my speakers and if the truth works very well, "But" there is a small problem that for me has no importance and for others it may be that yes, when putting the XVIVE In the speakers it loses 10% sound quality and height since I put them in amplified speakers and I don't have negative speakers, that is my comment about the loss of quality but the speakers can be regulated since the XVIVE sharpens them, with the volume height that you lose can be given more volume, the good thing is that you avoid cables, thanks for your attention, greetings from Spain, anyway they are also for dynamic microphones

    • @SimpleDJLife
      @SimpleDJLife  Před 2 lety

      If your talking about going from speaker to speaker. With a transmitter coming from the board, a receiver (mix in) transmitter (mix out) from speaker 1. Then a receiver into speaker 2 (mix in) then yes. Assuming your speaker has a mix out. But thanks for watching.

    • @DjTecniq
      @DjTecniq Před 2 lety

      @@SimpleDJLife no. Bypassing the sound board totally and just connecting the transmitter into the mix out on the speaker and connecting the receiver to an additional powered speaker. If your main speaker setup is connected (wired) then it should still work this way correct? A sound board is not needed just a wired speaker connection with mix out. It’s the same as daisy chaining one speaker to the other except wirelessly with one speaker. It should work the same i believe.

Quick question - If I wanted to use it for 2 PA's (lets say Bose S1's or even the larger L1 Model 2's) do you have to get 2 x receivers + 2 x transmitters? About 5 to 6 hours my friend. But I also found out that the more the batteries deplete it seems the it may be acceptable to interference. Thanks for watching.

    Great product but your bedroom mixer/speaker setup isn't going to pick up any latency.

      Sorry for the late response. I have used these in setups between walls and in my experience, I had no latency. Thanks for watching.

    Most weddings are like 6 hours. Don’t think I would risk for that.

      Would be great for cocktail hour that’s in a diff location than the reception. And dj mixing would cause a delay anyway so this wouldn’t be for that purpose.

      Sorry for your bad experience. As you can see I had a different experience. But you should try to get your money back. Thanks for watching.

    those are awful--- they go dead after 3 hours when using it with speakers, stay away if you are a DJ
