  • Off Camera I tried it on the JBL eon615, EV ZLX12P, Mackie Thump, and Alto TS315 as a Wireless transmitter from the Mixer in place of an XLR Cable and it sounded Great.
On Camera Tested on the SHURE PGA48, Alto TX212, Alto Trouper with TS218S Subwoofer, Pyle PMX840BTwith Gemini GSM215, Then Gemini WRX843 Array, on the Table I had the Mackie PROFX8v2

With only a 5 ms delay that only works out to 5 ft of real world sound delay. that works out great for mixing music as a DJ.

You are a Godsend bro! As a mobile DJ I am going to order me a few of these to take to events with me. Tangling and untangling cords along with the trip hazards they present, these will pay for themselves in gaffer tape in no time. So glad i found this video! This will give me a much cleaner look to the whole show. Seriously, I hope you make a commission off me buying these!

Purchased two sets they day they were released and love them. All that was stated in video I agree with. I originally purchased the Xvive unit for dynamic mics which they are incredible using on the mics, But the icing was using them on my QSC's K12.2 & K8.2. I highly recommend this item. About to purchase another unit as well.

I'm curious about any draw backs. I'm not convinced these are worth the money. One major issue that wasn't mentioned is signal drop. As a DJ we can't have it happen or we look really bad. Also, battery life. He never mentions the duration in hours or minutes and is the battery replaceable? Rechargeable batteries have a life expectancy so once it's been recharged a few hundred times will it start losing its charge capacity? I'd like to see replaceable batteries so you could have more than one charged in case you forget to charge it before you use it. He mentioned keeping it plugged in for power but if you wanted to keep it plugged in for power in case you forget to charge it your defeating the purpose of it being battery powered and you'd have to run a power cable to each one. That would mean you may as well run a regular cable to the device or speaker instead. I'm not convinced these are good to rely on for speakers. For mics, yes but not speakers. I wouldn't risk using these during a wedding ceremony and have the chance of it dropping the signal or the battery dying.

One of these days, you should make a clip on What is the best way to have a clear, professional sound input to a DSLR or better, action cameras, specific for Video Bloggers that is a very important yet mostly neglected topic on YT. Most cameras don't have Audio input but recently manufactures realizing this, are making better options available so next question would be how to handle this and make the clear vocal audio on a clip to have the best performance. I know many are trying separate sound record and add on later through post processing but that is not the right way to go. Anyways, thanks for your good clips, adding to general knowledge, beside naming the products.

If so, is there a limit to the number of receivers/speakers one transmitter can send to? For example could one receiver send to 4 speakers? Would adding more receivers drain the power fasted or limit the range?

Be cautious I just bought two sets that were a different brand but they were 5.8ghz instead of 2.4ghz which I believe the xvives are 2.4ghz and 5.8ghz has supposedly less interference. Now granted I had this hooked up in my house near my WiFi router so that could have caused the interference, I’m hoping that’s the case and maybe they’ll work better in another location but the interference was terrible. I switched back to a direct cable and my speakers sounded amazing. So be mindful of interference possibilities.

I personally don’t think you could use this product from a mixer or controller. The large square part of it will not allow another one to be plugged in next to it (L&R) so you would only be able to run 1 side not stereo.

Use a xlr extender to plug into your mixer then it will fit. You can get 2 extenders for about $20 Not a problem' you get about 30yds of coverage

I have a Peavey PV10AT Audio mixer with bluetooth and i have bluetooth USB from my laptop s o ican connect the bluetooth from laptop to the bluetooth mode on the audio mixer and have 4 of those adaptors to plug them into the MAIN Top right Output plug things. S O i can get those adaptors, plug 2 of dem in the speakers and the mixer. Or the controller / DJ set that's not a controller. SO i'm thinkin of buying those adaptors! :D 2 MackieThump BST 15s and my Peavey PV10AT Mixer :3 I love the speakers and mixer! I Currently have 2 10 or 20 foot long XLR cables and 2 3 foot XLR cables. SO I'm thinking of getting those Wireless adaptors for a much easier and faster setup time with them too.

Also i have a Numark NVii DJ Controller and Yes i am a DJ. Been a DJ for like, 3 or 4 years now ( My first numark controller was the MixTrack PRO3 and then overtime i finally upgraded to the Numark NVii Controller. I've had the NVii for like A year now and the MixTrack PRO3 the whole time. So Yeah atleast A year and a half or so i got the NVii. I love the NVii more better than the MixTrack PRO3. SOON GONNA UPGRADE TO THE ' Denon DJ SC5000 Prime Series ' D Jsetup. ( Gonna be using 4 players and the middle mixer like alot of Pro's have it setup. NVii controller costed me 700 for it and the SC5000 prime series ina bundle to buy is about, 5,000nd or 6 or 7. ( USD for me )

Love the idea but not convinced it's worth the high cost just because it's "convenient". The batteries probably aren't replaceable, the signal drop could ruin an event and most of us who've worked in the entertainment industry don't want to rely on systems that could give us extra stress. You have to remember to charge them and if for some reason they do get damaged or lost or stolen, your out hundreds of dollars. Tried, tested, cost effective and reliable cabling is hard to beat. Especially, if you run more than one system. It really doesn't take much time to run a cable or two if you have half a clue. Yes, they could help in some situations like cocktail hour but relying on them for the main system, no way.

Might be good for supplemental sound in a different room or something like that. A lot of clients and planners hate cords.

Wireless is not for every day but safer than cables on the floor with or without gaffer tape.
