If you are not able to retrieve the meta-data then check the IMDSv2 setting:
"Go to EC2 > Instances > Select Instance > Actions > Instance Settings > Modify Instance Metadata Options > IMDSv2. If the setting is set to Required, change it to Optional". This will allow the curl command to get the instance metadata.

In most of my setup , there is always a dependency of static IP mapping . Elastic ip should solve my requirement . Thanks for sharing the useful info

as you ask a question reg static ip
it works kind of similar as service nodePort where we mention nodePort manually and every time request comes it will go to that service ka nodeport , it will not take random port every time we create new deployment.

in case of accessing any on-prem server port opening is needed and then source IP needs to be static, in that case we can use this concept Gaurav sir.

Static IP use - Agar koi bhi website bana rahe, to usme static/elastic ip locate kar sakte hai taaki kabhi intance kisi wajah se bhi band karna pada to instance start karne pe humhari site same public IP pe same speed se open ho jaise instance band karne se pehle ho rahi thi.

Jab hum koi website ko ek particular instance ke saath host karte hai tab hume static ip chiaye hoti hai taaki ki uss website ki ip address humare instance ko band karke wapas chalu karne par ya convert karne par ya agar hum apne website ko dossre instance ke saath connect karna chhate hai tab yeh elastic/ static ip ka concept use hoga

I have setup an ubuntu server and i will be installing cpanel and create my own vps hosting so i have facing the temp ip address problem and using Elastic IP will slove the problem. As i do not have to manually reenter the ip address of the server in my domain 'A' record when my instance stop or start.

Sir koi b elastic ip website ko point krnay k liay kaisay use ho sakti ha, website ki pointing ya to waf ya firewall ki ip par hoti ha or static ip par uski accessibility banti ha? aisa hi hai na sir ya phr jaisa ap na kaha wo b theek ha?

Elastic Ip is used for public facing application whether it is via DNS mapping or via direct API
Secondly static IP required when it needs to be whitelisted by other applications for secure handshake like pg webhook and callback integration
