This is not an efficient way of recording announcements because background noise may make it hard to hear the announcements. Putting the device's microphone directly next to the announcement speaker is most efficient as it is easy to hear. Also, there's no reason to show the overhead display since the announcement basically provides the exact same information. And what do you mean by "speakers right next to the speaker"?
