If anything, your compositions gave life to all this footage. Much, MUCH more than most of the companies that put them out clearly did.
Also, "Paris lives up to the name of Gay Paree." Shows depressed looking people smoking and drinking.

When I worked at Knott's Berry Farm in the late 1980's/early 1990's there was a series of VHS tapes (from different production companies) of days spent at Knott's.

Interesting stuff about Castle Films. In the 1940’s did put out cartoons including the Walter Lantz cartoons and the ComiColor cartoons by Ub Iwerks, and a handful of Christmas shorts. I have all of them on 8mm, and the only “World Parade” series I have is about a tour of New York City before the pre-9/11 twin towers and everything didn’t exist at the time.

On top of that, Castle Films made Public Domain Cartoon Shorts in the 1930s based on Popular Nursery Rhymes!czcams.com/video/FkfWps49r78/video.html

The music you picked for Bruges felt like Mark Knopfler and Dick Dale doing a collab in the world of Tintin.

The TWA film was great really showed the Irish countryside in the order that one would travel through it from the airport in County Mead. I think the View Master souvenir discs were taken from the 8 mm souvenir films. The Flemish film in at the end was filmed at the world famous at the time expo films studio 58 they produced travel films concentrating on the world Fair and other global expositions.

I, personally, liked all of your backing music quite a lot. It definitely lent a "mood" to each film or set of clips. Don't run yourself down so much, Ben, you're quite a talented dude.

I think I’ve figured out the brand title of the film on Bruges. In 1958, there was a World’s Fair held in Brussels. Maybe the company that released the film as part of a series on Belgian cities for Expo visitors to purchase as the visited Belgium before or after the Expo. So I’m guessing that your guess that the film was made in the mid to late 1950s is pretty close t spot on.

I loved the music selection starting at 11:35, gives the Las Vegas footage a really foreboding feel.

Interesting moods set y your music. The zoo footage took on a melancholy tone, a look at a vanished place. But the Sea World and Vegas seemed like hidden camera mondo movie stuff.

On that Paris film (the segment about 23 minutes in), my film scanner (same one The Archive has, but under a different name) does the same thing. More commonly with dark scenes, but sometimes the camera just gets out of sync with the film actually moving through the thing.
Now, given the context of the films I was running through my scanner (pulling clips that were historically significant for public exhibition), I ended up settling for manually running the films through a flatbed film scanner (I should have charged hourly) because I was tasked with scanning these films for a historical organization and they wanted something by whatever means necessary, but, I think that bouncy motion is just down to the limitations of the scanner’s hardware being so heavily integrated (even the manufacturer-or, cobbler if you will-could change absolutely nothing because the manufacturer of the parts used integrated much of the basic functionality into the modules that were cobbled together).

I geuss I still do. Great Music Ben. kids dogs birds planes is one of mine, it's on here.

The music for the Sea World movie was a perfect fit, Ben. So was the Ireland movie.
I'm not surprised the Ireland video wasn't a flyover travelogue. I recently traveled to Norway and didn't get to see the country I'm in love with so much from the sky until we were touching down in Oslo. We were flying at 40,000 feet so it was a bit of a disappointment I couldn't actually see Bergen until I had arrived there a week later.

I’ve actually been to a lot of the locations of the films in your collection (although several decades later), like the San Diego zoo & Sea World. The last one looks like it may have been filmed at the Polynesian cultural center in Oahu, HI. They do big dancing shows there like in the film.

My comment is not here. What I said was the music used helped me get through a really bad day. Sounded like Leo Kottke on the all acoustic tracks. Cannot wait to see these on your bandcamp page. Great job.
The films themselves are a glmpse into the past that is mostly lost. At least you have them saved now. Now try to get a little rest.
