I agree 100% with you Niagras Fall62, when my dad and my step-sister both passed away this time last year, Mr. Astley's music alone has helped me to deal with the emotional roller coaster I was on. His music has done nothing but inspire me throughout the years, I was born in '82 a have listened to his music whenever I could, and sometimes when I shouldn't have been listening to music lol, Mr. Astley is an inspiration and would be most honored to meet him. This song is so inspirational. It got my daughter through some bad times. When I met her father he used to gig and sing Rick Astley's 'Never gonna give you up.' His memory is not great so he used to make up some of the lyrics. One lady was singing along and said 'They are not the lyrics.' I will never forget that evening, really made me chuckle. Our daughter loves Rick Astley's music. She is 20. This is one of her favourite tracks and mine. Melody even dreamt she designed Rick Astley's Album cover. What a wonderful dream. Never stop dreaming guys.

Why are people calling this "homoerotic" and "devil-glorifying"? This is merely symbolism for the idea that dancing is something so powerful that even the worst can be joyful. Just because two guys are dancing does not mean that they are homosexual! This doesn't glorify the devil, but rather portrays God's love for everyone no matter what they've done, if anything.

Taylor it could be a couple things:
Depair (devil's attitude at beginning) and desperate negative actions (man with baseball bat ready to commit a crime/hurt another) can be resolved by letting go of it and stepping out of oneself to dance/joy in the moment - finding wonder (angels in the trees) and God and happiness and our better self. . . starting with something as simple as dancing (which by the way, God created us so that exercise also releases endorphines, helping us to feel better/positive view). Another take that others have said is it might mean repenting. (The only thing is, this video makes it a bit ambiguous because the two men at the end are dancing in front of flames like fire in hell. The person who created the video did a disservice to the lyrics, which are about something else more positive with fire.)
