Best tip for teaching is have your dances and class plans figured out before coming into the space to teach. People who are learning are fantastic at finding all the holes you don't have prepped
Oh my GOD I wish more teachers actually followed these tips. Class is. not. about. you. Your students are paying for class and to learn, not to see you show off.

I created a Kpop dance club in my high school and we’re around 10 and I’m in charge of teaching, as I have no experience to teach dance I’m kinda trying things and see what works best, but I feel relieved that what I’m doing is pretty much what you recommend to do 😄

I know this video is like 4 years old! Haha but it’s so helpful! I really want to host a Latin dance event in my community this year because we don’t have any! I’ve been dancing for a little bit now but have never taught! And there aren’t a lot of resources out there on how to actually TEACH Latin dance. But you guys’ video is very helpful and I think I can transfer the info to Latin dance! Thank you 🙏🏾

What do you do about the one student who does not stop moving, even when you are yelling at them to stop?!?! Some people don’t hear verbal cues, and they also don’t see visual cues.

One time i went to a new dance studio (only to test out) and then the teacher told us to finish the choreography and we didn’t know the music and she said we don’t have to listen to it we just need to count and then i didn’t know what to do and my choreography wasn’t matching up with the music and that irritated me soooo freaking much. :|
