Great video, went down that scree about 6 weeks ago buggered me knee up haven't been out since 😟
Kidsty pike was awesome last weekend mate lovely flat bit of grass at the top and fairly quiet thanks for that one Al.
hi allen and the lovely blue we r bk home moterhome broke down twice when wee trying 2 leave wee were 2 b at the lake district but getting it fixed and that’s my nxt trip ❤️
watching you and blue 2 days ago wee had come home early our moterhome broke down but definitely get down the lake district as soon as it is fixed ❤️
Excellent Alan. If our beloved BBC had made this there would have been a film and sound crew of 8-10 and post production and editorial credits running for 2 minutes. You did it alone and better. No politics, no climate terror, no cultural interpretation. Stunning production. You should be very proud of yersen. The dogs enjoyed it too. Well done mate.
Spot on comment 👍hope his Chanel brings him plenty of cash so he can enjoy life more freely
Wow I could not agree more, absolutely bang on 👏
Thank you so much! I definitely think that my zero budget is better value than these multi million pound films😂😂😂. I wish I made enough from it. One day!
@@BUSHMANandBLUE I’m sure it will be sooner than you think mate 10/10 content always
Would I sound stupid if I said some program producers should sign Al up.
Top notch every time.
Saving this video for this evening! Switch the TV off and watch something decent!
😂 i hope you enjoyed it😉
@@BUSHMANandBLUE certainly did thank you. Like the title suggests, it was Epic.
Pretty impressive to make an hour and a quarter video and still the viewer feels it's over too quickly. Classy film making and infectious enthusiasm. Thank you.
😊 I’m glad you appreciated the longer video. I always think people would get bored 😂
Such an impressive video filled with all the goodies. Blue is such a good friend and Alan is so sweet to carry the child for a bit. Love it!
Climbing with a drone in one hand and camera in the other, and the blues in the background, WOW!
😂😂😂 a man’s gotta do what a man’s gotta do
This film should win awards. The photography, the drone and editing and the score was so professional. Your personality leaps off the screen before you have spoken a word. Trusty Blue leading the way for his leader as you both run up and down mountains, Alan you just keep filming and navigating your technical decisions at the same time The bluegrass Ry Cooder style music Alan, was perfect for the beginning of this endeavour, then as the mountain emerges from the mists you converted to the more atmospheric classical music to match the grandeur of the scenery that surrounded you and Blue.
I could go on and on giving glowing opinions as I was so impressed. The sunset was sublime and the views were simply stunning . You even invented a new sport, Scree Racing! Congratulations Alan, you are a legend.
Awwwwwwww thank you so much Trace😊. I really enjoyed making this film even though it’s quite long. I just film what is there and hope people appreciate it. It was a lovely night out and one to remember as it definitely had some perfect moments to be part of. Thanks again for your lovely words😬
The comment just flowed out of me like a snow melted river ambling gently towards the sea. The world needs many more people with your strategy and attitude towards life Alan. Thanks for spreading the word with the wonderful films you make.
Hopefully people feed off the positive energy😬
@@BUSHMANandBLUE well speaking for myself, I’m definitely inspired.
Epic, thought I was watching Lord of the Rings for a moment, with you and Blue travelling through Middle Earth. Your production just keeps on getting better. Superb work Alan!
It definitely is a long journey over that terrain but it would be harder fighting orcs along the way😂 although I’d prefer that👌
Great footage Al, those kids were brilliant well done to the parents for getting them away from the mobile phones and computer screens.
Yes I totally agree. I love parents that get their kids out👊
53:36 Wow! Thanks for sharing Al.
Wow Al, this is hands down my favourite video you've done. Love everything about it, the message, the route over some of my most favourite fells and sleeping on one of my top 2 fells. That route up is brilliant fun and the scree running was class, weather and views unreal. Chapeau mate chapeau 👏👏👏
Thanks Si much appreciated. This was one of my favourites to film too although it took some effort😂. A tiring route but pretty spectacular all through👌👍
I'm sat here on a Sunday morning in my dressing gown, I'm 5 minutes in and now I'm off for a run, I'll watch the rest when I'm back. Thanks Al
Awesome mate! That’s exactly the right decision. Rest your legs later watching the video. You have my respect 👊
Lovely interactions with both families, a great message of encouragement to all to get out there !
What a beautiful adventure that was. 👍 Thanks. The drone footage looked like you were on another planet so good. Blue is so smart on how he navigates those Mtns what good dog. Thanks for the video Al be safe out there ✌️
Blue is brilliant at mountains and I never worry as he’s very experienced. The whole route is like another planet👌👍
Ahhh, great video mate. Epic and cinematic views! My knees were trembling as you traversed the loose screes towards the ascent to Great Gables! Those kids are incredibly adorable and how you carried little Louis up Bowfell. Thanks for sharing this journey. I love how Blue takes all in his stride, what an amazing boy he is.
It was a tough route but I enjoy the challenge and Blue loves it more than me😉👍
Hi Alan, this in is perhaps the best walking video I have seen on CZcams, well done 2u and that special dog, I have many health problems but get away to the hills once a month plus daily local walks! I have Arthritis in back, hips ,hands knees and gout pains in foot, I could give up but hate been in the house, you and other contributors on CZcams walking video keep me going thank you. Mark Shaw.
Thanks Al. Keep doing whatever you can mate. Many do nothing so respect to you👊
Without a doubt one of your best videos to date, totally incredible, fantastic camera angles and the effort of hiking back especially back up that scree! Looks like you both had an epic time. 👏💪
Thanks. It did take some effort but I really enjoyed this one👊
Talk about light weight mate no stove definitely need a brew in the morning mate but but seriously mate your videos of some of the best on CZcams without a doubt you and the lone Explorer mate just amazing buddy you and blue just incredible views 👍👍👍👍🤟👍
Thanks bud. I missed the morning tea but worth it for those views. I’ll have to look at the lone explorer 👍
Just watching!😊 definitely edge of the seat stuff!!!! So lovely helping that family… made me think, the adventures of bushman and blue would make great childrens books!!😀
😂 I’m not sure they are adventurous enough. I’ll have to work harder on it👌😬
Do it in a gruffalo outfit 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I must say thats some of the best drone footage i've seen from the lakes, incredible scenery, watching your videos reminds me of my adventures with my Blue
Thanks bud I love the drone as it really does show a place off👌👍
Great to see you're carrying everything (Thanks Dad.......Blue ❤)
I think you need to train Blue to go get the camera. My heart stopped when you were going down the scree. Fab video thanks for bringing us along
😂 I’ve done quite a bit of scree running in my time.
Epic. We know you're going to do all this regardless, but you don't have to do it for us too. I hope I write for everyone, don't stop doing it for us! We love it.
Loved 'Sat Nav', 'Paw Wheel Drive' as always. Inspirational stuff, lifted my spirits alot. Thanks Allen and Sat Nav❤
Flippin 'eck I forgot about carrying a Louie up Bowfel
* Bowfell
😂 I love my sat nav. I’ll try keep making the videos. It’s only the lack of earnings that I’m really struggling with but hopefully one day I’ll get enough from it.
Great fun on the scree slope !!!! Brought back memories from many years ago when I tackled the scree descent off Cadair Idris .. Thankyou for bringing that memory alive again ! OH and that sunset .... ace footage...xx Hats off to you and Blue ...
I love scree running but better without a backpack 😬
Wow 1 second in and you're avin it proper !!!.......loving it !!!!.😍🐕🏕🌞💯%
Wen u go back 4 the camera is always funny !!!.that's a devoted fella always always make a top video. Respect 🙏
😂 yes I do some extra miles for sure😉
Great video, Al. The best you've made, I think. Photography and location for bivvy were exquisite. Great run and views.
That was so good of you to carry the boy up the mountain. Your level of fitness is amazing, you're definitely a chip off the old block.
Blue is also amazing, such a marvellous dog. Bless you both.
Thank you. We can all be fitter and it only benefits our potential in life regardless of age. 👍👍👍
Damn! Beautiful sites. You got me huff'n and puff'n in my chair, and I may have developed a chapped butt from sliding down the rocks. btw love the aerial drone footage as well. Thanks.
😂thanks buddy. It was definitely a tough exhausting route👌
And yet again an absolutely fabulous video! "Just stunning!".
And I always love the drone footage and Your choice of music.
Yes, this might well be my favourite one too - till the next one coming anyway. Stay safe
Thanks 😊. I only use the free music so I don’t have much choice but I do try make the most of it👍
Beautiful light and air quality thanks
Amazing video. I've never thought of trail running and camping together. I have no idea why I love the two ill deffo try this in the summer when the weather is nicer
In good weather it’s great. 👌
Wow, Al. Only watched the intro & had to comment. Your film making skills are amazing & I’m sure you’ll agree you’ve come quite a way these past years. The drone footage, music & editing are superb! Smashed the 👍 Rach & I were at Crinkle Crags last week, walked up from Old DG to Red Tarn. The views were epic!
Roll up the lid of the pasta container make a spoon out of it great video don't blow away stay safe🤗
Yes I thought that but it was a bit oily. I’ve used the plastic cap off my gas can before 😂
out of all the gear you've got, I can't believe you don't have a folding travel toothbrush! A sawn off toothbrush indeed 🤣
It’s just to save weight😂
That shot high on a rock looking out …and blue stayed still while the drone filmed you was insane! 😀
He’s pretty good on film now😉
Done your self proud with this one mate.
Thanks bud👊
What an amazing dog. You're so lucky to have him for a pal
Yes he’s my best mate🥰
What a brilliant video they just get better and better. You just can’t beat the fells The Lake District is bad to beat. Get out and enjoy the great outdoors. Well done Allen and Blue. All the best Cheers Take Care BK
Thanks BK! I’m glad you’re liking the videos. The adventures are the easy part for me. The editing is the tough bit and very time consuming 👍
Wqs a great watch and loved how u helped the little boy was amazing great work as always al n blue ❤
I think he’s watched the video too so hopefully it will give him some more motivation 👌😉👍
A proper mountain adventure there mate! Nice one, bloody brilliant. 👌
Hello brother, we watch your videos with love and appreciation, you make very good videos, we wish you continued success Greetings from Turkey🇹🇷🇹🇷🇹🇷
Anyone else feeling knackered just watching this 😂 great vid as per!
😂
Another video straight from the top drawer.
Thanks 😊
Going up or down scree is definitely a "challenge". Thank you, thank you, thank you, for taking your time, effort, & equipment to share your adventure with MEeee. The drone footage was as good as it can get.
Loved footage of you with the kids & parents.
Warm Regards from Reno, Nevada U.S.A.
Have you hiked four peaks?
@@Jeff-jg7jh NO
Thank you my friend. It does take some effort but I like capturing my adventures and locking in those memories so I can look back when I’m older👍👍👍
Thanks Al and blue for a tremendous video, your both amazing, my favourite mountain just love going up great gable, but don’t think I’ll do this route lol, superb footage, and still had time to help others on the way 👍you deserve a couple of beers👍
It’s a tough route but a lovely mountain. Thank you so much😊👊
What an adventure! What a sunset! Go on lad
One of your best so far. Fantastic views from the top. Blue just amazes me. Just brilliant.
Excellent. Thanks for the view from the summit of Great Gable - I have only ever been there when the clan is down and a compass is needed to get off!
Nice to get a clear day when that heigh. You’ll have to go again😉
@@BUSHMANandBLUE I will be able to now my hole in my heart is mended :)
Another great video Sam, sound and picture quality spot on, enjoy the forest thoughts at the end too 👍🏻👍🏻
Great motivational video I’ll watch the second half now… watched the first half upto carrying the child… then today I climbed up pike o blisco onto crinkle crags looking for the rock you climbed up…. Found it!!
Great route. You will have loved it I’m sure😉👊
Not the first part from the bottom of langdale valley 😩😩… I’ve not done anything for at least a month!! Next time I might walk all the way round to stickle tarn 💪
Yes Allen I can imagine the filming and editing takes up the time but you do a brilliant job all your videos are spot on. I wish I was as fit as you. I used to be but seventy plus years of fell walking and running have taken their toll on my back and legs. But I will say to you and everybody get out and do it when you can and enjoy it. I certainly enjoyed it wind rain snow frost camped out in it all. In fact I liked the Winter months better not many people about. Anyhow all the best Cheers keep going and Take care BK
Yes people don’t realise how important their body is until it starts to slow down. These videos definitely take some effort but I’m happy with the results 😬
I just wanted to say how much I enjoy your videos! It's clear how much effort goes into them and they are so inspiring. Was wonderful to see you help those kids. We really appreciate all the effort that goes into all these different shots/angles of footage on top of hiking up mountains!
Thank you Sophie 😊. It’s not the easiest but I do enjoy the process and having product at the end I can be proud of is great. Keep sharing my channel👍
great we’re still out leavening skye today but this is life ❤️
Loved to see those kids on top of the summit! Thanks for sharing that…
Yes good effort by all👍
What an amazing view! Love your video and Blue!🥰
A dipstick in charge of a sawn off toothbrush 😮
Jesus Al , you can keep that scree running ! Great vid 🤜
I’ll go hold up a post office with it 😂. I can see you flying down a scree 😂
@@BUSHMANandBLUE aye arse over tit or on my fat arse
That was just fantastic mate. Loved everything but the video work was even better than usual and that's saying something.
It’s tough making videos but I do enjoy the process. I’m glad you appreciate my efforts👊
Amazing film alan 👏 👌 truly inspiring stuff ...
But my knees were hurting with every downward step and thighs burning with every step up 🤣 blue's like a machine!!!!
great stuff mate
😂 yes I was feeling my legs in real time. Blue is a tough dog😉😂
That was a belter , Paw wheel drive lol , he certainly has that in abundance 😃
Yes I struggle where he doesn’t. Top dog😉
Another fantastic video. What an adventure. Great stuff. Thanks for the entertainment.
Thanks Brian. I enjoyed this one👍
I have just found your video's for the first time, I am an outdoors person but nothing like in this video, but this and no doubt your other videos, are really inspirational to others, also the two Mum's and their kids and you carrying the one lad was fantastic to see; then there is Blue, who would not wish for a companion like him, wonderful, please do keep making more long video's and have subscribed.
Welcome mate and thank you 👊. I have loads of videos which hopefully inspire others to get out and enjoy it all. It’s too easy to sit on the sofa!
@@BUSHMANandBLUE You are absolutely right of course! Though I was seated watching you do the 'sharp edge' climb, great video footage made it like being there with you and a couple of times I actually got funny feelings in my legs when you panned down and showed the height and drop immediatley below, whilst holding on with one hand, camera in the other! (I'd have been stuck to those rocks like a limpet aha!) not for the inexperienced or feint hearted that one! And your Dad is an amazing character at 81, climbing up those trees like a kid! It reminded me of being a kid, bird-nesting (among other outdoorsy things), we'd climb tree's with no thought of how we'd get down again, but you do, whatever you are doing in the outdoors, you always find a way. And Bluey, the multi-tasking/faceted dog (companion, sheepdog, husky, mountain goat) and, last but not least, some great trips with your fabulous partner Nicola; what more could anyone want....life is indeed good :)
I’m glad you’re enjoying my little life of adventures. My dad definitely is an incredible human. Someone for anyone to look up to.
By golly - yep , I think that's the best mountain video I've seen !
By anyone !
The music , the editing, the views , my word - that takes some work sir.
You certainly keep yourself fit too 👍
😂awesome thanks. It was a good adventure 😬
Fantastic 💚🏴💚
Took me a while but subscribed love ya ethics and ya messages ! Good role model for the youngsters
Welcome mate and I’m glad you’re enjoying the videos👍
We just got back to Sussex from a week in Lake District, the weather was fantastic! Our German Shepherd thoroughly enjoyed his first time going up to Easedale Tarn on Thursday, and High Seat & Bleaberry Fell on Friday. Thankyou for the motivational comments in all your videos, they really kept me going replaying them in my head as we were making it up onto Ashness Fell. Will definitely be making plans to keep getting out there over the South Downs.
I’m sure you loved it with the weather being good. It really is a fantastic place to visit👍
Comment for YT algorithm. You deserve more recognition for your work.
Yes it’s tough to get seen on CZcams. I definitely put more effort in than most out there so hopefully I’ll come through stronger at some point. Keep sharing to friends 👊👍thanks.
6kg! My food and water normally weigh more than that. Tea, supper and breakfast plus I drink a lot of water although the Sawyer water filter (to those who don’t know, a link in your description 👍) is a game changer 👍
Epic video Al. Your drone footage is something on another level, I could watch it all day 🙏
😂 cheers andy lad. I’m sure we will get out for a patreon camp at some point. We can swap bags😂
@@BUSHMANandBLUE I’ll bring the BBQ, ribs and some nice steaks, would go well with some nice beers
So nice of you to carry that kiddy
Fantastic video mate, your a fit lad you put me to shame haha. Your a star carrying that little lad up there 👍
Great video, should have made a spoon from the foil lid from the tuna meal. Love screed running nearest thing to skiing without skis, snow .... 😉
It’s a bit like skiing 😂😂😂.
What a fantastic video. We've done Great Gable from Base Brown, Green Gable and Windy Gap....that was hard enough. Well done. :)
Still a good effort and route👌👊
Am knackered just watching this.
😂😂😂
Top man top dog, top fitness. I remember many years ago coming down that very scree with my Dad and him saying to be careful...just as I went head over heels and broke my wrist, long way back with with a broken wrist and a bollocking off my Dad!. Anyway not sure I would actually make it up great gable now but watching you smash it is nearly as good. As you always say, keep making the memories. Thanks for a truly awesome video
Ouch! Dads are always right😂😂😂 thanks buddy
WOW, Just amazing, thank you x
What an awesome adventure! Just when I thought Blue would be flagging, there he is belly up rolling on the grass 😂Thank you so much for the extra effort you put into your filming for us, it really takes us along with you, so thank you. I'm exhausted now! 😂
😂 it’s nice taking people along mate. Blue is definitely as fit as a butchers dog 👍
That was a fantastic video.
Superb adventure Al, really enjoyed this one (albeit viewing a year late!), inspiring stuff. I loved the drawback drone shots from Great Gable, also the view from White Napes. Great to see you helping that boy up Bowfell too. I have started using my drone for "walk off" shots- you can string a few in a row and also quite distant ones without having to go back and retrieve your camera. Great work
Wonderful video! I had to pause it a few times just to enjoy the view. You may not have had the most elegant food in your "restaurant", but you certainly had the best seat in the house. I think sometimes about people who have all the money a human being can have, and meanwhile you are the only person in the world with that stunning view. You hear about people "who have it all", but I wonder if the memories they are creating are equal to yours.
I completely agree (coming from someone who doesn’t have any money😂) but many people don’t often experience these moments and therefore don’t have many memories. As I’ve said in previous videos… ‘you don’t make memories sat at home’. I feel rich 👌
Thanks Jan.
Hi Al and Blue 🐺👌 Great Video again from Tommy Yorkshire😊👍
👍👍👍
Epic heights and views and blue what a mountain climber x
Your music selection is always great
Great video Al!, one of my favourites.
I get knackered just sitting here watching you sometimes mate 😊.
Awesome watch 👌🏻
😂I’ll do the graft for you 👌
Very nice 👍 quality video the views is amazing 😊thanks for sharing:)
Loved this video, Al. And great drone footage at 1:02..
Wow! How awesome to see these kids climbing up this mountain terrain, so impressed!! and seeing the vlog with your amazing dad I now understand why you want to keep running 😅 We have nothing high in our flat north Australia territory and in fact I can start to feel nauseous just watching how high you and Blue climb 😁 So enjoyable to watch 🙏🏽
Mountain goat Blue. 🐐. That dog is awesome. Scotland's Mountains channel uses same music at around an hour. Murray is an great guy, best Scottish CZcamsr and obvs youre the best English one 🤣 give him a watch. Excellent video as always Allen 👌
Thanks for the top spot 😊. I’ll have to watch the top Scot😉👌
first time here, youve just inspired me to visit the lake district, looks stunning. Great video, the shot of you eating ur dinner with that sunset 👌and as for Blue, what a wonderful soul ❤ perfect day out for a collie. You two make a great team, thanks for sharing 🙏
Cheers Baz and welcome. It’s great having Blue as a companion up in the fells😊. Definitely get to the Lakes👌
Epic video, thanks for sharing 👍👌
lol I wondered what the heck when I suddenly saw you with a kid. Thought it was a rescue for some reason! cool video and I am only halfway through!
Great video, loved it!
Another awesome video mate with epic drone footage, bivvi baggin out ,rather you than me . An excellent video nethertheless, nice to see you and Blue out and about again John from Sheffield in England
😂 on a clear night a Bivvy is the best. Cheers John👍
GG is an awsome hulk of a mountain BM&B ...... My fave place to be..what a great vid man thank you.....signed an owd fella 🙂
Yes pal it’s an awesome mountain 👌👊
Lovely video Alan I camped on Allen crags sat night gone that area of the lakes has incredible views top man ATB 👍👏
Yes it’s a beautiful place to camp as you don’t see any lights from towns etc. a real wilderness
My gas boiler broke 2010 from jan to beg of march we froze, myself and daughter but i couldnt afford a new 1 my neighbour finally fixed it then i had 2 mini strokes 2 weeks later due to high cholestrol due to cooking homemade pies suet rolls and stew n dumplings to keep warm
Poor you. It shows the importance of a health diet. I worry for many older people this winter
@@BUSHMANandBLUE me too god knows how many will cope sad times ps i do eat healthier now
I’m sure you do😉👊
Wow. What a video. I didn't notice how long it was until afterwards (I generally don't care about time and just watch them in installments if they're longer than I have right now). Sometimes long videos feel like a bit of a drag, but this one was amazing. For me, you got the balance just right between action, walking, camping, Blue, and talking.
We were up in that part of the lakes last weekend doing a lower route visiting a load of waterfalls and wild swimming. It was interesting to see it all from above 😁
Cheers Matt. It was a long one but it definitely tells of the whole adventure. It helps if you’ve been in the area too to appreciate it more😉👍
😎 oh no!!
I’m just back in off the hills, sat down for quick coffee and 5 mins of YT…..and…..over an hour long…..
but Ive got stuff to do this afternoon!! 😂
….need to prep for trip to the hidden valley at glencoe … be you’re fault when I discover I’ve forgotten to pack my tent because I end up packing in a rush!!! Lol 😅
*gives in and settles down for the hour*
😂😂😂 sorry! I’m sure you’ll not forget a thing. Just remember a smile and you’ll be fine😉
@@BUSHMANandBLUE Paused the video and went and threw the tent in the van I was so paranoid 😅 … EPIC video btw. Running, holding camera and talking all at once…thats top talent right there!
😂 I was a personal trainer so I was good at exercising with my clients and talking to them. Making videos is pretty hard and if I could afford it I’d up it a level😉
@@BUSHMANandBLUE 😀 I can relate (on both counts) I own a gym…done my fair share of PT!!
And I’ve made a fair few videos… nothing compared to yours - just playing really-
Sooo hard to make a semi decent video far less top quality videos like yours.
I really hope you get the chance to do everything you want, I’d love to see what you’d come up with!! 😀
Well thank you 😊. Enjoy the hidden valley. It’s a bit Stoney to get pegs in but it’s a beautiful place.
Wonderful video. What an adventure! Thank you so much for sharing! ⛺️⛰👍
It was a good adventure which I thoroughly enjoyed😉👍
Another great video Al lad..Blimey,That sunset was unreal and cleansing to the mind.. That drone footage is fantastic fella. Brave camping in a bivvy though. Stay safe fella.
Cheers Andy. The sunset was quite special and worth the hard work to get there😊
Went up Great Gable on Monday via the Beck Head way. That seemed hairy enough when the paths turned into scree and then ends in a boulder field! Hard work that..your way looks petrifying 😀 another epic video
A good effort up great gable regardless. It’s definitely a tougher route though😬
