BWCA 2023 Base camping on Lake Three!! (Part 2 of 2)

The second half of our trip we spent catching walleye, swimming and just taking in the beauty of Lake Three. Wind picked up but for the most part the weather cooperated with us. Sad that the trip was over so fast but excited to get back to the Boundary Waters!

What campsite was that? Looks beautiful and heading to the area in a couple weeks.

It wasn’t actually on the BWCA entry points interactive map. But if you look on a map at the south end of lake three there is a 5 star campsite on an island. This campsite was on a smaller island just west of that nice campsite.
