I was on 6.1.D.R19 (facelift Peugeot 208 2016), updated to SMEG 6.3.0.R6 as the newest one has a bug with the FM radio apparently. I had CarPlay enabled before, it was still enabled after the update. It didn't seem to need configuring, but on the vehicle information page had some extra buttons. I booked it into the dealer, they did the configuration and charged me for 15 minutes of work which removed those extra buttons.

Hi Jabba, do I need to do anything with the file when I’ve downloaded it? My removable disk drive says it’s not recognised when I plug it into the car
with file you need just downland and unzip to yours USB, plug and play should be work - make sure you downland right files compatible with yours media unit !

Does the USB need to be formatted to a specific type? I had mine as exFat and I did unzip it but still says file unreadable. I have the same R20 version as your video and updating to R6 so should work the same in theory. Please help
please format as normal fat32 and unpacking file to main catalogue and should be work

@@TB-br8dx It did yes! Turns out the fault was with the USB stick, it was way too old, so we bought a new one and it worked immediately off that.

Hey guys! When I try to install any different version, my car gives me an error something like "The file to update is protected" So I cannot update it. Has anyone else had this issue? Is there a way to solve it?
I did the same... Download the file, extract it into the main folder and copy it into a formated USB in Fat32.
Any advice?

So im having real problems with this. I have extracted the downloaded file onto a Fat32 usb memory stick. When im plugging into my car all it is saying is music files not found. Anyone able to help?
@@lukephipps6168 Make sure is right software you try update at yours device, Dowland and unpack file to main catalogue at yours fresh formatted USB stick, and after just simple plug in to yours USB plug at yours car and continue update like on this video I show you :)
@@jabbatellyou I believe its the right one as I had the same software as yours to begin with. I've extracted onto freshly formatted memory stick. Still no joy. All it says is music files not found
Hey! Any reprogramming after the update? I read that some units have lost CarPlay after an update... my radio keeps rebooting I’ll may try an update to solve the issue.

How do you set up the folder on the USB?
just unpack to fresh after format USB to main folder and after sub folder should look like this ( SMEG_IV2_UPG ) USB over 1GB

@@gordimac9 always after update you need calibrate yours device .. btw just install yours previous backup software or if you dont have go to Peugeot Sat Nav forum and find it and install - simple

Yeah, my multimedia is a SMEG+iv2, with native carplay and mirrorlink, but it doesnt have android auto. I will check this forum, i already saw the gpspower ofrum. Thx very much Jabba ✌🏼
