- Journey back to 2015 when the Dawn spacecraft first orbited Ceres, the colossal dwarf planet in our inner solar system. Dive deep into the mysteries of this unique celestial body as we recall the groundbreaking discoveries made by Dawn, from hydrated salt patches to potential life-supporting reservoirs. As the probe's mission came to an end, the question arises: Should humanity return to Ceres? Join us in this Astrographics analysis as we weigh the significance and potential of revisiting the giant of the asteroid belt.
This is quickly becoming one of my favorite channels in the whistler cinematic universe.
It is mine. So thankful for our OGBB for this channel.
I wonder If his basement got bigger for another writer or is he just working them harder?
@@RaptorMediaGRP why do you think Simon always complains about his "neighbors" drilling. That's the byys expanding the basement.
Commenting to help the channel become successful
Replying to ur comment to feel the algorithm & build engagement. 😁
@@Lngbrdninjamastareplying to the reply to help fact boy
It is a Simon Whistler channel, it will get there eventually.
oh, engagement, look, algorithm!!
Replying to ppl replying to the other replys... for the algorithm
Hey, Simon. After two decades of watching space documentaries on TV as well as YT. I've been waiting for a channel who breaks the science down and builds the viewer up just... like ... this... Well done.
"and a plan to prob Uranus" said straight faced... Lol dude needs an Oscar
Came here for that comment
Yup!
I was expecting Uranus to be mentioned just after the "girth" comment though 😅
@@mattetjus lmfao 🤣
Giving props to the script writer here for giving us a Full Metal Alchemist reference.
I'd put a lot of money down to bet Simon had no idea he made an anime reference.
Good thing Cere is chill and not hot tempered about size like Edward.
I came down here to find this comment. Haha!
Absolutely *LOVING* the new channel. Astrophysics and interstellar investigation are some of my favorite topics to learn about and Simon is the voice of my favorite host to learn from. However, as much as I love these topics and as much as I love this channel, it is *so strange* to watch an entire video without tangents! #HereForTheTangents 😆
A Full Metal Alchemist reference?! Yaaassss!
You've been wanting to do this for a while!! I love this style and honestly this is what a channel you used to do. Keep on this course Simon.
Very excited about Astrographics!!! Sooo many possibilities for videos!
Not only is the content amazing line all the other. We got a S Tier full metal alchemist reference too. Love it
I am beyond excited that Simon created this channel! I’m a huge fan of his to begin with and I watch all of his other channels consistently. The content and production value is incredible. The writing is beyond superior to any other similar channels. I genuinely learn an extraordinary amount of knowledge from various topics from this show about astronomy and astrophysics, to true crime and obscure history, to geopolitics and the current state of conflict around the world, to the engineering and construction of huge structures and projects.
Simon really is a cut above the rest and I also can’t imagine how he manages to make so many videos so often for all of his channels! There’s nearly a new video each and every day on every channel! I know he has a great team behind him that helps pump out the insane levels of content, but it’s still mind boggling!
Wait he actually made the Astrographics channel after all the memes on Geographics? I love it, thanks :)
How many takes did it take to get through "probe Uranus" with such poise?
Yeah it was just slipped in there as if no one would notice.
They always notice 😉
Thanks for taking us on a journey to Ceres to set an example of what NASA should do
One more great reason to do a full mission to Ceres including orbiter, lander, sample return, etc. Think how much the scientists and engineers might learn from doing this project and developing new kinds of robotics and such. And then when we go blasting off for Titan or Enceladus, we'd be even better equipped to conduct great science on the more exciting worlds.
Inspiring channel..
Great work Simon and crew.
YES! Been waiting for you to make this channel Simon, now going to watch every video.
So does this mean we’ll be getting updated videos about all the planets ? I hope so
Also do one about the 13.1 light year across wall of gas and stars
I would watch a Ceres series
Love the new channel!!! And no quirky audio bugs!!!
Loving this new chanel Simon! One of my favourites. Please everyone, keep it going.
Love these astrographics videos!
These videos act to remind me of all the questions that will be answered after my time due to budgetary constraints of all things. It makes me sad to know how much is to be learned but I may never have the chance to. Keep going though Simon
Great work as always, Simon!
Simon is THE man...PERIOD!!🤘
A new channel. You spoil us Mr Whistler.
Liking these so far.
This is my favorite of your channels, thank you for making such excellent videos 💖
Love Simons stuff....how am i just discovering this channel now?
You and me both. I found the channel a couple of hours ago with the new Saturn video; catching up now.
Great new addition to your channel arsenal, Simon!
Amazing video Simon, quickly becoming my third fav Whistlerverse channel
Absolutely love this channel along with all your others hope this one is successful like your others seem to be fingers crossed
This is now ny favourite channel. 👍👍👍
Love the new channel!
Do one on that one real popular topic!!!
Never thought of Ceres as very interesting but consider my mind blown.
Astrographics let's go!
Excellent Simon 👌
Ayyyy i was expecting simon to make a new channel after losing 3 of them recently. We are here for anything you upload
In 2020, an ESA team proposed the Calathus Mission concept, a followup mission Occater Crater, to return a sample of the bright carbonate faculae and dark organics to Earth. The Chinese Space Agency is designing a sample-return mission from Ceres that would take place during the 2020s.
Great channel fact boy happy you keep it going. Channel number 23 I think by now
Let’s gooooo!!! 🔥 🚀
Appreciate the FMA quote, betting that went right over Simons head lol.
Love the series, also I'm a child 14:20 one of the highest priority missions was "To probe Uranus" 😂
In 60 years we'll still be watching Simon 3.0 making videos about how SimonBots have landed on Such and Such asteroid and are beaming back new content. The Whistlerverse has begun!
My favorite new channel. As a uni student studing astronomi
Simon you've captivated me with the nuetron star video and I am here for the ride. Love the content
Love this channel
I can't think of not having Simon videos to watch 😢, I grew up witching david attenborough and you're the only modern day equivalent!!
Need this channel to a success please, love the Edward Elrick reference more so knowing Simon has no clue who he referencing
Just found this channel, how has he not talked about it on any other videos I watch everyday lol
Finally an astrographics
I love astrographics
Visibility comment and yay for Astrographics ^^
The Full Metal Alchemist reference made my day
Astronomy, astrophysics and anime references that Simon is never going to get. What more could you want
Fantastic
Great stuff guys 👍
This is the channel I have been waiting for since unsubscribing from scissor space
You had me at Dwarf planet ....continuing to comment to keep this alive
“Its girth isn’t the only thing that’s imnpressive”. That’s what she said.
Yes
i like this iteration of astronomy themed videos better than the ones that were produced under Geographics title.
Probe Uranus😂😂😂😂😂
Keep posting videos, and I'll keep watching them. A partnership that will last.
Will be back in this comment section in the years to come. Can’t wait for the future of space exploration.
Now all I need is for Simon to start reviewing cars & I'll be sorted 😂
Bring on vehiclegraphics!!
Cool
Simon, plus space, = happy
Hope this channel survives, always love the space videos whister ol boy does
Commenting because Simon is a legend. Would love to buy the bloke a beer. Merry Christmas mate. Thank 1:18 you for sending me to sleep every night. The bromance is strong. Yeeew.
Hey, my favorite minor planet! Every time some asshole complains about Pluto being demoted, I ask "what about Ceres?". Half of the time they don't even know what it is, let alone that it's a badass water-containing spherical mega-asteroid right in our goddamn back yard.
Damn 1/4 of the mass of the entire asteroid belt, that's big!!
I'm loving the anime references in these videos
Interesting. Is this your channel, Simon? Or you're just the presenter?
OH GOD ANOTHER CHANNEL
Getting other worldy salt would be huge for science imo.
Same
The probe into Uranus joke though!
I was sure Celes was actually the Death Star that blew up the original fifth planet. Of course, if it was, and they realized what it was, they wouldn't tell us. They'd make stuff up. Like brine pools.
This must be Simon's favorite channel. No one can complain that he isn't actually visiting the place he is talking about.
I think we should go back to Ceres.
Smiling a bit more could go a long way
I always love the anime references that Simon definitely doesn't understand
Edward elric reference hype 🎉
Let's make a big sweep, all nine places where life very likely could be, as soon as possible.
Could, might, assume, may, think, should, potentially
Simon doesn't miss a chance to say 'probe Uranus'.
Not even Dr. Strange could predict the outcome of how many channels Simon will create.
Simon is legion, there is no containing the fact boi 😂
BELTALAWDA!!
Dude, for real. How many channels do you have!!??
I believe this is number 10. Science unbound, mega projects, side projects, brain blaze, today I found out, warographics, Astrographics, casual criminalist, decoding the unknown, into the shadows. Those are all I can think of at the moment
One day
Inyalowda wanna come back to Ceres. Sasa ke dey own everything…
👍
Solar System: ...
Ceres: WHO ARE YOU CALLING PIPSQUEAK
Post about this show on your others!!!!!
Oh yeah like Simon needs another channel...
(Cheers, bro!)
I see Simon, I watch
You can't shut down your channel until the Ceres probe returns with its first samples. You have to be there to do a massive HOORAY "I told you so" when the sample is being studied and life is found.
2:52 Fullmetal alchemist reference 😄
Simon is proving to be the busiest man on CZcams.
Its so relatively close
