- Probably my most epic ski day ever.
Lots of wind to add a bit more spicyness at the challenge linking the 7 major Romsdal summits: Juratind, Store Vengetind, Kvandalstind, Romsdalshorn, Store Trolltind, Kongen and Dronninga skiing and climbing.

Strange to say, but I feel proud of the fact that we live in the same country. Absolute legend.

Amazing! Kind of surprised how little food and especially how little water for a 20+ hour day. Only a liter! You are a beast.
Whaa that gave me goosebumps, dreadfull mixed climbing and skiing ! This linkup is full of logic and the deed is historic to me !

I think you've completed this alpine route more times and I was wondering what's harder, in terms of fatigue, (altough these are differents sports and differents muscles working) if trail running 100 miles race or link these summits...similar times, I guess more elevation gain skiing but according that you've eaten, much more waste of calories, for instance, in a race like UTMB. Weather conditions, risks up there are supposed to take influence releasing cortisol and speeding up fatigue...But I'd really surprised you'd need more resting after this than after finishing UTMB under 20 h. 😅

Question: Two friends and I tried climbing Kvanndalstind a few weeks ago, the normal summer route, but we hadnt been there in the winter before and once we got up on the ridge we realized the rappell down would be impossible because of the amount of snow. We ended up turning back. How did you get down? Were the anchors dug out for you to use?

Basically I always have 2 pairs, for training and racing, just in case the current pair glue gets frozen or wet to be able to continue.

Hi, the food basically here preparing for a Himalaya expedition I wanted to eat not much ( need to carry) and just when I saw energy levels down. Water I planed more but it got frozen.
This is a route I have been thinking for some years, it was my 3rd attempt, due to the difficulty of conditions and avalanche dangers. Basically I had in mind all the time and last week I saw the forecast and knowing the current conditions I thought I could give a try.
Now I am the happiest man in the world. Thank you for the reply.
