- Absolutely amazing trailer packed with so much of everything I'd ever wanted in a new Arkham game all gone to waste because it's an exclusive to a platform I will never buy.
Half Life Alyx has shown that when VR is done right that it is the Best way of experiencing a Game. I hope this will be just as good.
The best way is a controller (keyboard and mouse for some games) and always will be.

It's not even just VR, it's actually locked to the Meta Quest. Exclusives even on PC. Though, hopefully there will at least be a fan mod to make it playable on other VR Headsets too, which would be at least a little better.

Copium tells me to believe they'll rework it to be a proper Arkham game after it's release and we can all be happy (I am delusional)
@@Shweelan i can understand that and honestly nothing would make happier but to see this game become a actual Batman game would be really awesome and badass in my opinion.
Hopefully this is just the start of the Arkham revival and RCS coming back for all of them. James Gunn did say he had plans for the series going forward, iirc.

You are hyperbolic. First of all, ain't no way you were actually holding on to hope that Rocksteady would "redeem" themselves after Suicide Squad. It was not the same people that brought us the Arkham games, it was activists. Thank God Camoflaj has taken the reigns of this universe. Secondly do NOT underestimate the power of the Meta Quest 3. Listen to the creative director in recent interviews as hear how passionate and devkted they are to nailing the world and mechanics in VR hardware. This ain't gonna be a cheap tech demo like in 2016. This isn't the end of the world. I don't have a Quest 3 and I'm still hyped AF.

Boneworks, Saints and Sinners chapter 1 & 2, Half Life Alyx, Superhot VR is around 2 hours. Vertigo and Vertigo 2, Asgards Wrath, Sniper Elite VR, Into The Radius can be like 24 hours if you're really pushing it (though that game is alot more about exploration, I have a friend who still isn't at the end and is nearing 55 hours) and the modern RE Games if you're on Playstation (You can do all of those and even RE3 if you use the REFramework mod by Praydog).
If we widen that up to games that have no clear end, we can throw in Phasmophobia, Pavlov, Onward, Hotdogs Horseshoes and Handgrenades, all of Payday 2, Contractors, Blade & Sorcery, Beat Saber, Bonelab. If you go down the path of modding again, you can even play Lethal Company in VR. And that's just the games I've played through or have had recommendations from friends.
@@jimmybrooks5902 Asgard's Wrath 2 and FNAF Help Wanted. And Arkham Shadow. Since the director has said that the studio aimed to make the game's runtime around Arkham Ayslum's. Do your research, seriously.
it doesn't matter at all, they didn't divert resources to make this game, its not like we are getting this instead of a full fledged arkham game.

This Batmans voice is the same as in Aroham Origins and Arkham Blackgate
See I also love Roger Craig Smith, but coming from a "Resident Evil has been my favourite thing since childhood" angle, the biggest issue with Origins was he didn't put on a different enough voice from RE5 for my brain to perceive anything other than "Chris Redfield is Batman". More hilarious than a real issue but I was giggling the entire game.
You know I am not exactly the happiest that it's exclusive to the meta guest3, But I do think that there is potential for it to be at least a good Arkham Batman game. I'm not going to sit here and say that's playing a game on a controller or on a keyboard and mouse is the best way to play a video game or that VR is the best way to play a video game. I think that if a video game is done right, it doesn't matter what platform it is done on, it will be a good game. Me personally, I wish that Batman Shadow just like every other arcum title was done on controller or mouse and keyboard but I'm holding my hopes up for the VR version of Arkham Shadow to be good. Who knows? Maybe Arkham Shadow will be successful enough to make a controller game next time for the next Arkham game.
What's the problem with renting a VR helmet or finding a friend and trying to play? you still wouldn't get a flat game if VR wasn't created.

Lots of people don't have Meta Quest like playstation 5 and xbox series x or s. And for whatever reason they didn't think to release it in playstation vr. This game is not going to sell well even if the game is good. I don't have Meta Quest and I'm not going to buy it just for this game.

@@BattinsonBro, many people buy normal consoles. And the problem is not the VR, is that is an exclusive for a VR console that the great majority of people will not buy. We gamers are becoming more and more exhausted of exclusives on any console. For example, I was a great Xbox fan back in the day and it bothered me that many games that I liked are for other consoles and now that I become a PC gamer, I can just wait a but more and have almost any game.
Also, by doing this a VR exclusive you are substantially decreasing your target market. You’re making a niche of another niche and it’s not enough. Also, we are assuming this game will be great, which is almost a 50/50 percent chance that it will not work. At the end of the day, if the majority can buy something a company produces, then it is a failure and a waste of capital for the company.

No one gonna talk about rat catcher being black? I might be wrong but the asylum artwork and TSS (Gunn’s film) has his daughter being white.
