How to Clean Louis Vuitton Vachetta Leather Straps on Neverfull PM Part 1

- How I clean my Louis Vuitton Vachetta Leather on Monogram Canvas bags. Again the safest solution is just some distilled water and a microfiber towel on all surfaces. Baby wipes are not my recommendation. For dirt or oil removal I like to deep clean the vachetta leather Lexol Leather Cleaner. Allow bag to dry after, apply leather conditioner and finally seal with water repellent to prevent future stains or watermarks.
The bag also featured is my authentic Louis Vuitton Neverfull PM. I purchased this bag from Fashionphile, it is vintage and also preowned.
Again this is my leather cleaning process AND these are the products I used for my older Louis Vuitton Bags. These cleaning methods and products are not recommended by Louis Vuitton for their "natural vegetable-tanned leather". This DIY is just for entertainment purposes. This is so awesome! Thank you so much for this how to! I handle lots of pre-loved LV bags and I've been ready to pull my hair out at the amount of oil and stains these purses come to me with. I have an Odeon that has some sort of sticky (coffee maybe?) stain on it, I'll have to try the distilled water trick and see!
Thank you! If the coffee stain is still tough to remove, you can also try a little bit of Amodex.

Hi, you’re video is very informative. I have a vachetta leather that looks dry and showing signs of cracking, should I condition it 1st before cleaning or go straight to cleaning then condition after? TIA
Hi Tracy, once the leather is cracking, there is no way to repair it. You can condition it first, to see if it'll help. Cleaning it, may cause more damage. I worry for you now, good luck.

Hi April. I use Chamberlains Leather Milk Conditioner, Tokonole, and Apple Brand Garde Rain and Stain water repellent.

I have white leather in my car and use a 2 in 1 cleaner and protector leather spray, Can I use this with a microfiber to clean my pochette??
I would not, since LV is untreated leather.

I have not tried that. I've had others ask me the same thing too. I'm pretty sure you can try it with conditioner first.

@@ashxlreviews yes! I bought some distilled water yesterday and tried it on my mini Speedy HL. It actually removed dirt. Not alot, but I did notice the cloth had some faint brown coloration. It didn't appear to harm the leather and all dried up evenly with no water mark. My vachetta is already a carmel color. There was a faint watermark already on the vachetta and now it is barely visible. It may have darken the vachetta a tad so perhaps that's why the water stain is almost not visible, but if it did darken (due to get getting wet) it was just a smidgen. Thanks again!

What would you use to remove ink on a lv soft wallet.
I've used Amodex, but I'd test it out on a small area first.

Thanks, that's a great question that I get asked alot. I'll have to share one day, if I can get my hands on a bag with lots of watermarks.
You mention something to seal the edges from fraying on the handle what will the product be
She mentioned that she'd be using Tokonole to burnish the edges. There are hundreds of videos showing how to burnish edges with Tokonole. All the best!

Sorry, you can't remove hand sanitizer stains. That actually has caused chemical damage to the leather and it can't be removed. Honestly you just have to be very careful with hand sanitizer.
You can get the leather replaced at LV...but, I would try and clean it first. I have seen some product reviews that showed before and after where hand sanitizer stains came out. While alcohol can be damaging, alot of times the stains are basically water spots. Try this Lexol cleaner or Apple brand.

I've been using Apple Brand Garde.
How do you clean the lining???
Honestly I just wiped it down with a damp towel with distilled water. For ink marks I used Amodex.
Does this work for water stains, or only for dirt and oil?
No it does not work on water stains, I tried that on my Alma BB.
Hi, I have a neverfull whereas my top handles and trim is dark and I am trying this method to clean/revive to start - my question is the “side” straps are more light color and not that dark/dirty so can you recommend what to do to even out possible? And also- can I repeat process you use to clean if I feel it is not clean enough? Thanks so much
Hi Ava, I would not scrub the leather or clean it more, you can potentially damage the the leather. Yes the straps will have more patina, you'll just have to wear the bag and let it patina naturally. I wouldn't recommend any products for darkening them.

THE INGREDIENTS! Honestly it wouldn't hurt to try the Lexol Conditioner but I've just had a better experience with Chamberlains Leather Milk Conditioner.

How to clean the leather strap if there is dyed on it?
You mean like a dye stain? The edge paint on the side of the leather? The whole strap being dyed? Please clarify for me.
