Wow. That turned this Alaskan on! I need another life to experience what you just did. I am beyond words and green-eyed jealous! Wanna mess around in there? You are built like a rock!
It was an incredible place Andi 👍
I imagine the natural minerals in the water would be very soothing. I love learning history and this is amazing. His wife was lucky to have such a private place to soak and bathe. Great video.
Hi Tina we are pleased you enjoyed the video! It was an amazing place and a great story behind it it all. The guy in the castle was a Botanist, he understood the healing powers of seawater, seaweeds and minerals. His wife was quite poorly, he carved her out a stone bath to bathe in on the beach which filled with seawater with the rising tides. It is understood that the bath in the cave which filled with spring water was for her to wash off the salt water before returning to the castle. Take care, thanks for watching 😊

👍👌👏 What a simply fantastic story and what a great husband that was.
Best regards, luck and health in particular.

Thanks for replying and especially for another heart. I always and totally appreciate both very much.

Oh my! Thanks for taking the plunge! It was a great view! George, if you wouldn't do it, why would you want your dad to?
Hi Marie I never thought in a million years he’d ever go in, I was shocked!!
On a really hot and humid day, that pool might feel excellent!
Yes very refreshing! Hope you enjoyed the video, thanks for watching 😊
Well done you for taking a dunk x
It wasn’t planned Donna 🥶 Hope you enjoyed watching the video 😊
Your perseverance is that of a marine!
Whenever there’s potential treasure I’m there! Hope you enjoyed the video, thanks for watching 👍
That is a really, really cool bath! Wow...I would swim in it just because of how impressive the workmanship. I wonder if they used to use hot rocks to heat it... that might be why the bottom was covered in smaller rocks...
Thank you for your comment, yes it was a really cool bath the workmanship was impressive! You’ve probably hit the nail on the head with the heated stones because the water was iCY 🥶 Hope you enjoyed the video, thanks for watching 👍
I am sure it can’t be any colder than a normal bath in any
British home.
It was ICE cold Domer 🥶
Great entertainment with your lovely dad in the water shame you didn’t find more gold really enjoyed it ❤
Really pleased you enjoyed our vide Florence 😊
What a wonderful hidden treasure. She was very loved. Would love to let eyes adjust with no lights and just take in the ambiance.. i bet a lantern gives a beautiful ❤🎉glow .neat finds! Magnet bracelt even for her healing balance
It was the most amazing place 😊
So Glad to see you back. BRRRRR that water was cold. What you were looking for probably slipped further down. Get a wet suit and go back. Ralf and Susan Atlanta, GA
Great to hear from you, yes the water was icy 🥶 Yes I intend returning to search for the treasure with wetsuit! Thanks for watching 👍
You were right George!! I can’t believe he really did that!! Kev, I have no words for you going into the bath!!
I’ll admit that the cave and bath are amazing to say the least and in a weird way it’s absolutely beautiful! To know the history of it too is even better. Still shocked you went in the bath though and I can say that even from here in Tennessee, it looked really cold!!
Great to see you all again!!
George, you haven’t changed too much and have grown into a handsome young man!
Kev, never thought I’d see you bare chest in shorts dipping into a freezing cold bath for treasure to come out empty handed 😂 and you’ve not changed much either! Still handsome as well and I think I know where George gets it from 😊
Camera Lady, One day we might get to see your smiling face but your giggle is cute! You have a couple of good guys there! Take care of them 😊
See you all on the next adventure!!
Love and hugs ❤️❤️
Hi Tammy, I can confirm that the water was absolutely freezing 🥶

We hope it isn’t cursed 😱
And everyone that fish with magnets do the environment a great favor by cleaning the waterways that is so special thank you so much not just the scenery but showing people how much is in our waterways that should not be there
Hi Jerry you are spot on. One of the reasons we like to magnet fish is to help clean the environment, we hope that our videos help to highlight the pollution problem. Hope you enjoyed our cave Bath adventure! Thanks for watching 👍
Kudos to you getting in , IT'S ONLY HARD IF WE DON'T GIVE UP !!
I wished I hadn’t got in as soon as I realised how icy it was 🥶
WoooW. Aren't you a brave man, you sure deserve all the jewellery you will find. I think that type of bracelets helps with arthritis. Common get in the Spring Bath😃
Thank you for your comment, yes I think you are right about the bracelet. Hope you enjoyed the video, thanks for watching 👍
I salute you, sir! I don’t think there are enough quid to make me get in that water. I hope you don’t contract pneumonia. In any event, great video. Most enjoyable.
Hi Jim it was seriously cold 🥶 Fortunately no Pneumonia! Hope you enjoyed the video, thanks for watching 👍
That was the chain to the cave bath plug 🤣🤣🤣
Whoops 😬
Wish I had a cool dad like Mr G when I was his age.
Reminds me of the movie Romancing the Stone. When they search for treasure in the cave in water. Do you remember the movie. With Michael Douglas and Kathleen Turner. Love that movie.
Love this video, there is nothing dad won’t do to find treasure. Love it. ❤️❤️❤️
Hi Artie, we aren’t familiar with that movie we shall have to look it up! Pleased you enjoyed the video 👍
George I'm happy for you and your family all the things you do together are so special and I certainly like all of your videos
Hi Jerry really pleased you are enjoying our videos!
This may be what became popular as a beauty treatment in times past known as as "cold water immersion therapy". In past decades, people were building themselves; "Victorian Plunge Pools" which could be what this pool is. I learned about this from the Viscountess (Julie Montegue), of The American Viscountess YT channel. She found a plunge pool on their Estate that looks almost exactly alike. She restored a very old pond/pool to do laps in there. There's also a recent video of her & the owner of the Pitchford Estate in their Victorian pool, I guess its enjoying a resurgence in popularity (maybe because its SO hot outdoors)?😉Great video!
Hi Erin really pleased you enjoyed our video!
Yes you are absolutely correct re the cave bath being used as a treatment. The cave bath sits on the edge of a very secluded beach, there was also a stone carved bath on the beach that wasn’t shown on the video which fills with saltwater when the tide comes in. The guy that owned the castle was a botanist. He understood the many health benefits of saltwater and seaweed bathing. His wife was quite poorly hence why he carved out the 2 baths for her, it is believed that the bath in the cave which fills with natural spring water was for her to rinse off the saltwater before returning back to the castle. It really was an incredible place to visit! Thanks for watching 😊
What a great location and so good to see the Famous Three back!! Great work from mum (camera lady) for the filming in what looked like a hazardous area (and the washing after!!). I half imagined a metal plug coming up with the magnet to empty the bath!!!! Very brave taking the soak Kev; I just hope you had something to dry yourself after and your clothes were still dry. Glad you’ve still got the magnet fishing bug George. Here’s to many more videos! Stay safe guys.
Hi Steve yes it was a superb location, slightly lacking on the treasure front but what a place! The water was as cold as ice, I regretted getting in as soon as the cold hit me! Hope you enjoyed the video 👍
@@Magneticg I reckon that cold 🥶 hit you immediately!! Totally enjoyed the video thanks very much. Looking forward to the next one. Stay safe.
Wow that was brave I'm not keen on cold water, interesting bit of history the lady must have been made of tougher stuff than me.
Hi Catherine, it was an interesting bit of history and an incredible place. She must have been very tough to bathe in that bath, it was ice cold 🥶
You might carry a sump pump for instances like this. It looks like you could pump out water much faster than it fills.
Yes great idea! Hope you enjoyed the video, thanks for watching 👍
So wonderful to see you two again! Kev you deserve to find all the kings gold, and treasure after jumping in that cold bath. your videos have been dearly missed, I hope to see you both again soon!
Hi Patricia it was good to be back out. I work in the agricultural industry and harvest is our busiest time of the year, hence why we haven’t been out recently. The bath was icy cold, I regretted getting in as soon as the cold hit me. Sadly no gold that time but you never know unless you look. Hope you enjoyed the video, thanks for watching 👍
Fountain of youth!!!! Good to see you guys again!!!
Not sure about the fountain of youth, but it definitely made me feel alive when I hit that icy water! Hope you enjoyed the video, thanks for watching 👍

Very amazing place! He loved her very much to carve that for his wife! For myself personally, I would not take bathe in there! Lol
But then I didn't live in those days so maybe I would have ! Be safe and love your videos! 💕
Hi Ilene yes he must have loved her to go to such lengths. He was a Botanist and understood the healing properties of bathing in sea water and seaweeds. His wife was in ill health. He carved her a stone bath on the beach which filled up with seawater when the tide rose. The Bath in the cave fills with spring water. It is believed he built her that one so that she could rinse off the salt water before heading back to the castle. It truly was an amazing place it was surreal. Pleased you enjoy our videos, thanks for watching 👍
@Where's the curvature or cleavage? 🤣🤣
Wow! How in the world did the wife venture down to the bath, so slippery. Bet the Castle has a lot of more secrets! Thanks for sharing
Hi Janet how in the world exactly, it was like an ice rink it was that slippy! The bath water is continuously filling up and overflowing which has led to moss growing everywhere on the rocks making it very precarious to access. Hope you enjoyed the video, thanks for watching 😊
What an amazing bath cave he made! Absolutely love it!!🤩
Hi yes it as amazing we loved it too 😊

Also, the insect you showed is an isopod! ☺Or “roly poly bug” here in the US lol
Super cool video. I bet those stones in the bottom were heated in a fire and thrown in, to heat the water up.
Thank you for your comment, pleased to hear you enjoyed the video! Yes you’re probably right about heating the stones to warm the water, it definitely needs them! Thanks for watching 👍
That was very interesting and amazing George. I don’t think I would get in that water either but kudos to your dad.

I'm always amazed how much material comes out of your canal's england is suprising and lucky to have canales going thru your cities
Hi Jerry it’s crazy what we find in the rivers and canals in the U.K. you name it I think we have found it!
Orange is iron and blue/green indicates copper. You see a LOT of these seams in the rocks in Cornwall around our mines!
Thank you for letting us know this Linda we were baffled by it! Hope you enjoyed the video, thanks for watching 😊
@@Magneticg search for Ben o Cam on here, you’ll find a lot of his videos exploring old Cornish mine, some of the underground chambers where they have been chasing a seam are incredible, the colours look like serialists have gone in there and created it with oils!
Thanks will definitely do Linda! Our video of this cave bath is in Cornwall 😊
@@Magneticg Ahh OK, just realised where it was lol…. I thought it looked familiar. It’s the bath house under a certain place called something Castle! Lol…. See I’ve hidden it so I don’t give it away to anyone. 😂
Duh…. Just realised you put that in the title lol…
Have to be honest it’s not that secret amongst the Cornish. Most of us know the sea view bath under * * * * * castle. 👍😀
You should check some of the old miners sea pools next time you’re in Kernow. Some of them are amazing. The miners used dynamite often to make them, so they didn’t take all the mine dust and arsenic home on their bodies and clothes. Talk about a bath with a view!!
Wow it's great to see you.

Wouldnt it be exciting to magnet fish and metal detect the dungeons of the oldest castles
It absolutely would!
FYI, likely the bottom of that bath is covered in a thick layer of GOLD dust. It will not stick to the magnet but at long as it has been then inside the rock with water running into it, it is a perfect gold catch sluce. I would get some material of the bottom and pan it out.. You will see.. Likely many thousands on gold dust laying in front of you..
Great idea, think we’ll take our gold pan when we return! Hope you enjoyed the video, thanks for watching 👍

The reason we haven’t been out recently is because I work in the agricultural industry and harvest is our busiest time of the year. Awesome video loved it. Well, sorry you didn't find your gold.
Hi Susan pleased you enjoyed the video, yes very disappointing we didn’t find the gold but the incredible location more than made up for it 😊
I like it when curiousity gets the better of you. Magnet fishing is one way to help solve some curiosity & using a metal detector is another. & i think the other is getting actually physically getting involved from using a spade to your own hands regardless of the surface dry , muddy , gravel or soaking wet 😁😁😁😁 all full of fun. & hopefully very rewarding on the finds ( as long as they are not explosives.) ( not likely in this place) 😉👍 But, many other place can have such danger. Having such special permission to go to some places must make you feel quite special & very privaliged ( excuse spelling error😠). Your so lucky to get to such a place maybe you will get other special places in future to check out. 👍😉
Yes we hope we will get to go to more special places we do like to change things up a bit sometimes, it keeps things interesting. We shall probably start uploading some of our metal detecting hunts in the future too, we both detect I have been a detetorist for 30 plus years 👍
Good to see you guys back. Look forward to seeing more of your videos. 👍
