UPPU URUNDAI || உப்பு உருண்டை

  • INGREDIENTS:
    Rice - 200 grams
    Coconut -1 small size
    Bengal gram - 2 tbsp
    Urad dhal -1 tbsp
    Mustard - 2 teaspoon
    Red chilli - 5 nos
    Asafoetida -1 teaspoon
    Curry leaves
    Oil
    PROCEDURE:
    Soak the rice for 3 hrs and grind it coarsely. Take one small size coconut and grind it coarsely. Heat a kadai , add oil , mustard, urad dhal, Bengal gram, red chilli, asafoetida, curry leaves and saute. Then add coarsely grated coconut and saute till it turns golden brown. Add rice batter and mix all the ingredients together and cook it for 10 mins . Switch off the flame and make it small balls . Now add all the balls and steam it for 20 mins. Now the yummy uppu urundai is ready.
