Putin's Awhassa didn't get shot down. He did a ctrl-k that was at the same time the bomb dropped. It basically drops two bombs at once at the cost of the T4 bomber, but typically the bomb plus wreck kills a com in one go.

what a game... total flip in last 10 minutes. This is the true joy of FAF 🤯
The top blue Seraphin player just built multiple experimental bombers despite he knew he had a big air disadvantage... And these bombers are taken out for free by the bottom team. An experimental bomber costs about 50k mass and it gives 30k+ mass to your enemy. The top blue Seraphin player gave away 3-4 of them, so it's at least 240k mass difference. That probably cost top team the game.
yeah i think at that situation just to make as much of asf instead of asswasher then perhaps help with mass to build more t3 arties and shields, they seemed to go all in with land and air experimentals which often works as well but less ofthen without air superiority or at least parity
@@trururum Yeh... These experimental bombers don't have nearly as much hp as their cost and size suggest. They are so vulnerable to ASF...

Okay, as a casual player who half-watches half-listens to your casts while I'm doing other things, I'd like to express how much I love this particular one. Every single time you mention "poop dynamics" and make a poop joke I'm chuckling to myself. High fibre indeed!
10:15 He was, in fact, doing damage to the Cerberus while the shield was still up; it looks like the splash damage from overcharge shots pass through shields. I wonder if that applies to other sources of splash damage, or just overcharge specifically

Yes, in 10:30: The Cybran T2 Pointdefence was under the Shild.
The Aeon has shoot 3 Overcharge to the Edge of the Shild, maybe a little bit outside. We have to try it out to know it exactly.

You were Poop Dynamic? Maybe not optimal play but who cares, you seemed to get assaulted quite a lot by multiple enemies and still played amicably. I doubt anyone in your team blamed you for "sucking".
@@forlornfoe352 yes you right. but this t3 mex upgrade hold me really back in this match. im usally better on this map, although im still not sure how to open it properly and use all the mass without wasting it

Apexay's telemazer made no sense. He had air control and gave it up to put all his resources into that tactic for no good reason. So frustrating.
I am happy my game was casted by Gyle:) I had been streaming this game live on my channel few days ago - but it was in russian language.
Ahwassa bring 21k damage if it is self destroyed half a second after it drops the bomb - killing any unpgraded to Regen-personasl shield-cloack commander in one shot. T4 mercy :D
Saw something similar recently done with Tzar, i suspect that with Ahwassa it has to be considerably more difficult to pull off. Very nice move.
As for everything else, rock solid defense followed by the bombardment hell? I can see the influence 😏

That PD at 10:03 did get shot through the shield.. It looked like the shield didn't cover a 360 degree area and the shoots were just going under the shield because the ACU was down a hill, very odd.
Just when I thought my day would be boring and sad. Gyle comes through. Cheers.

10:15 Shields only absorb the damage they're able to take then let the rest pass through. In other words, if a shield can absorb 100 damage and you hit it with 120 damage, 100 damage will be blocked and 20 damage points will pass on to the target. Poop_Dynamics shot at the PD with an overcharge which hit the shield bringing it down to nearly zero. The overcharge was followed closely by a regular shot which hit the shield finishing what little damage absorption was left then the rest passed through with enough damage output left to finish the PD.
We can clearly see 3 overcharges going through shield and damaging the pd. I don't think shields let pass "high" damages. If they are up, they absorb up to the same amount as you described. But that's not what happened here. Probably glitched.
@@thepolo8892 It's not glitched. Overcharge has area of effect. Because the cerberus turret was so close to the edge of the shield, it still got damaged by the AoE despite the shield absorbing the main shot.
@@thepolo8892 Ah yea, you're right. I didn't see that. @Ferrados66 has a good point about the area of effect likely being the culprit instead of a glitch. It'd be repeatable if it's not a glitch for that game/map. If so, it makes for a good strategy.

I really hate when games are won by simple standoff arties. T3 Artillery is the main offender here, as T4 arty is rare to see and nukes are pretty easy to counter and don't exert continuous pressure. That said, I'd say the possible turning point for the other team wasn't their almost nuke, but the two Ahwassas they just uselessly threw away cos they wanted to be fancy when they should've suicided them both into destroying the opponents artillery. Don't bother destroying nuke defense unless you have a nuke ready to immediately follow it up (it was minutes before they fired that almost nuke). And the other Ahwassa achieved nothing with its fancy maneuvering. Should've just bombed the artillery stations to kingdom come - they were ahead in the game at that point, so taking out the artillery would've allowed them to keep pressing their advantage.
Yup - T3 artillery is one of the worst parts of this game. It's cheap enough that you can build it behind your team usually (unlike the "game ender" crap) and you only need 1 to snipe unshielded stuff anywhere on the map. Totally retarded.
Glad I saw your comment here so I dont have to write it myself. Its unfair to say that he lost them the game since none of them played perfect but... he kinda lost them the game.

Listen for the strat bombing sound, it is very distinct, that way you won't miss it.
Bug with shields, when shooting up at them shots can pass though terrain under the shield.

Victory by artillery bombardment? Surely no.
I enjoy setting one of my artillery to target the enemy Commander. The opponent often tries to keep the Commander safe, so my artillery is then hitting the critical parts of their base. The constant shelling also aggravates them, making them more likely to make a mistake.

poop dynamics made some good moves, but he was shunned by his team mates early on. Hate to see it. Really wanted to see his tactics evolve.
Do you use a mod or specific setup for replays that shows the teams and expanded view for resources? I can't figure out how to do that in the FAF client lol

New to FAF casts what is fullshare? Is it an underhanded, snarky thing to do?
It's an option that can be turned on or off in a game. If it's on then when a player's commander is destroyed their units get transferred to their highest scoring teammate instead of being destroyed. Some like it some don't.
Full share is one of the game options.
In a lot of games, people tend to play the 'Assassination' mode which means that if the commander dies, all of that player's units and buildings also die.
However, with full share turned on, all of their units and buildings are handed over to a team mate instead (the team mate with the highest over all score, I think?) It sometimes means that if a certain player isn't doing very well, they can kill their commander/ACU on purpose (ctrl+k is the shortcut for unit suicide) to help a better player on their team to do better, by instantly giving them more resources and factories which are already upgraded for zero cost.
As for the opponents, if they walk an army into an enemy base and try to kill the commander (which is meant to be the goal of the Assassination game mode) any fighting units and point defense/turrets they have will keep on attacking, and can kill your army even though you technically 'won' the fight. If full share was turned OFF, all of those defending units would have died along with the enemy commander, and you could take your army to the next base.

It wasn't a bad game as such, but as a sequel to Forged Alliance it was.. misguided.
I don't know if it was just me but my video stopped 4 times for ads... as much as I like watching casts and dont mind watching add or two to support Gyle, I struggled to enjoy this one :/

Is assembly-line of Monkeylords the meta now? I thought they were rush/surprise experimentals, and once it's time to slug it out in the endgame the Crabs are way better...
I don't think it's meta. He had assembly line of Monkeylords because he wanted to keep the attack up and the enemy team isn't reacting/countering it effectively.
why dont any one put point defense in their base? half those base have 0 turrets to defend them.

Gyle doesn't have any control over the number of ads you see. Even if he chose to publish it unmonetized, YT will still show ads.

tbh, this is why im really not fond of T3 artillery or any "game ender" stuff outside of normal nukes... everytime they come up, it just turns into a game of who can take down the others artillary first 9 out of 10 times and just kills the fun ground fights. just turns into a boring static fight of who can take the others game ender first.
dang.....ferfer kinda threw that game for his team......if he would have only used the awhassas sooner to kill the 2 T3 arties then his team could of won

Every single cast is now full share. I can't watch. Of course they end up "epic, it's just they aren't actually. Of course it ends up scaling the economy artificially. Please add some sort of warning to the title of the videos or something. Every caster only does full share now and it sucks.
Let's be fair, that's only because everyone keeps playing full share. Gyle brought this issue up on a previous cast.
As a player I find full share games are generally more fun. Losing a team mate in no share ends the game 95% of the time.
He doesn't have much choice. It's the playerbase that mostly plays full share, so there's very few non-full share games available.
Gyle, you're casting is getting slower. You're not keeping pace with the action and zooming in on important stuff. ACU's under attack, Strat bombers, drops.
I humbly suggest this is nothing new.
