It's because he actually went to the Wrexham and spoke with the people and learnt how to pronounce these ridiculous names :) I'm so pleased they both took the time and trouble to do that, and they've helped give the community a boost, and hope.

Two of his flicks on Netflix have welsh subtitles. I am in awe. I’d have loved dubbing but I’ll settle for subtitles. It’s more than we’ve ever had in the mainstream media.

As a welsh speaker he nailed that stupid welsh town name, (2nd longest in the world I read somewhere, some place in New Zealand having the longest name) (the name was manufactured in the 1800's i believe to draw attention the one horse town it belong to, to draw tourists to the area)

Look up Thai names, in the King's language, cities are often over 100 letters long.

You must be psychic as it has gone incredibly well not only in their division where they look certain to re-enter the 4 divisions of the REAL full time Professional league but they played in the Cup which is open to 7,000 teams in England and Wales and almost reached the last 8,only prevented by a last minute goal.

@@Isleofskye You don't really have to be psychic to know that Wrexham is going up when they have a budget that is like 10x if not more than the second richest team in the National League. Their star players should really play 1-2 divisions higher at least, which tells you a bit of how big their pull is compared to the rest. Still, they've clearly shown that they're dedicated to success. I just hope the marketing doesn't become bigger than the club, cause it's the oldest active club and has a rich history which the fans surely want to stay connected to.
I'm so happy they are friends, let alone business partners.
What Ryan and Rob did with Wrexham is what every fan wishes for their teams too. The power of great owners directly reflects in games, we saw it happen with Leicester City as well.
You can tell Ryan is so serious about this endeavor. He mostly just stfu and let Rob do the serious talking, backing him up when appropriate. I’m a huge fan of Ryan Reynolds.

It's an awesome show. Even if you're not a soccer fan. It's more of a love story between the town and their club. Highly recommend.
Sometimes rich Hollywood guys can do good. Great guys with great hearts, and this documentary and late night appearances only bring intrigue and money to the club and city. Best of luck Wrexham, good luck on promotion 😉

Where I work in Spain, I had a couple of season ticket holders from Wrexham in today and I asked them how it was going with the new owners? They love Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney! They said you were the best thing to ever happen to the club (they have a serious love for Blake Lively who has come to the games to cheer them on as well!)

Ryan is great and all- but I am a Rob fan through and through haha! He’s absolutely brilliant! Always Sunny and Mythic Quest are up there for the funniest shows ever made on this planet! They guys are great and have been good for Wrexam and brought attention to all the lower divisions. But really the star is just UK football and the fans. Their passion. The promotion battle. The relegation battle. Pub life. It’s the backbone of Ted Lasso and it’s what drives this show. It’s hard to draw parallels with US sport because they really just have the football. Rugby and cricket are great and have passionate fans but they are distant second and third to football. And the football is just the club system, there isn’t a college league that’s at all relevant. So it all gets concentrated and amplified into football. That’s what they have captured with the show.
Really invested in the show so far.
