This was another of my favorite game shows. Loved Wink Martindale.

I would’ve loved to have seen him face Thom McKee.

I think he did in a tournament of champions and if I remember right, Doc beat him, to his amazement!

The first of 4 $100,000 winners in season 2. Mark Leinwand, John Welch, and Thom McKee were the others, all at the end of the season. After Thom McKee, only 2 other contestants passed $100,000 the rest of the series, Wilbur Hicks, and Kit Salisbury.

Normally, they take the first answer the contestant said but 24:52 is the one exception to that.

There had to be a glitch in the TTD computer which hid the dragon behind #6 far more often than any other number.

They used like 30 different combinations in the bonus round. I don't know how many were possible, but I believe it would be several thousand possibilities. So it was just the ones that were chosen.

Not really, that board actually ran off 9 Apple II computers linked to an Altair console that displayed various contents on each monitor (X, O, category, dollar amount, TIC, TAC, Dragon). IMO that board seemed quite random to me for its time

What are the air dates of Doc Fass? I thought that Jay Stewart had left the show by then.

Jay took some time off near the end of season two but returned during season three just before Thom McKee’s run as champion ended

Wink went after that contestant and his occupation after he came on with arrogance. To me, Wink wanted friendly competitiveness.

They always plugged the car coming out of the first commercial break on Barry-Enright shows from 1977-82 and from 1984-85, even if the car was won in the first segment.
