Hi. I think the metal shelves were £8 each when I bought them about 20 years ago. I’ve got them in my shed. They are brilliant. I agree with you about prices. Especially ikea. The prices are crazy now!!! I think it’s cheaper to get second hand furniture and it’s probably better quality too. I mean in terms of solid wood etc. I do love ikea for a browse though. ❤😊

What you described as a modern design sofa (with the wide, flat arms) looked very like the G-Plan one we had when I was a child in the 1960s.

Ikea...wonderful designs...have not been in years. Have they upgraded
the Billy bookcases so the shelves do no collapse. Their lighting is classic
and the restaurant so fun!! Correct about the lilies...definitely a no no with

The IKEA family card only gives better prices on a few selected items tho the deals in the resturant is "the thing" .
IKEA recently (late january I think) lowered their prices on about 1000 items so not everything jumps up in price at the moment. Some items lowered as much as 25% and it´s permanent, not just a short time offer.
The "white white" IKEA-sofas are very popular in Sweden, even in homes with small kids, ppl just take the covers of and wash them. Many people have more than one cover (sometimes all white ones) and swapp between them.

In the USA IKEA announced that they will be decreasing prices since the prices of the supplies have gone down!
IKEA here in Sweden has allredy lowered the price (late january)on over 1000 wares and for some items as much as 25%

A tip my brother gave me with bought shelves, don't use the screws that come with them, buy longer ones and matching dowl plugs - much more secure 🇮🇪x

I love Ikea!! The last time I went (the Warrington store), a member of staff said Ikea will no longer be selling the bags of mini dime bars. I used to buy them for my father in law, it's the only chocolate he likes....
Like put a new roof on your shed; You will never have enough room in a small one. Plus lots cheaper option. The. Small one's were £7 the taller £9. Can't believe they've gone up £10 since lock down drrrr. It was very nice to see what's in IKEA this year; thanks.

Loved the tour of IKEA so many good things. I’m always looking out for new sofas and a sofa bed, just can’t commit. The dried florals were a bargain. Hope the flooring goes down smoothly. Can’t wait to see 😊

Pax are fantastic, so many options and so easy to put together. I did mine a few years ago when I was 62, on my own I might add. I have them in both bedrooms. I have mirror doors on all mine very heavy but I propped them up on books while I attached them.

Home Bargains, That sun ☀️ set light, is brilliant really does give of a sun shape and glow, you can adjust the size of the sun to, putting them behind a green plant, Go buy one 😁

I enjoyed that shopping trip! Thanks for taking us. I have the small folding stool in one of our bathrooms so our grandkids can reach the sink to wash their hands. Very handy.
The plant basket you showed would also make a nice basket to keep your wool in, with the platsic inside would keep the wool nice and clean. As a knitter, I automatically thought about what I'd use one for.
Hi Mr. C! Always love a shopping trip with you & Luke. I haven't been to Ikea in a while & it's always nice to see what they have that's new. I especially like their room set ups that give you an idea of how a kitchen or bedroom could look. 😉 Also love all the spring decor, but living in northern Texas I'm really not looking forward to it because that's when temps start getting warm & our storm season also begins (meaning strong thunderstorms & possible tornadoes.) Love Skubb, we have the brilliant laundry bin that slides in pretty much anywhere. Have it slotted in the end of a curtained wardrobe made from 5 sets of alvine spets nets. Looks amazing with the downlighters on the inside.

Old growth forests in Eastern Europe are being cut down for cheap Ikea furniture. There's enough older stuff around, use that and keep it out of landfills.

Loved the tour of IKEA, I don’t have one near me and it’s nice to see inside, other than the catalogue! The home bargains and home sense tours were great, prices are still quite high in the clearance section though, it is the same here in Canada. No large price reductions to make it more appealing to purchase, unfortunately. Thank for filming and taking us along!

Great video ..just looking at the cheap bedroom with you…..personally I wouldn’t get anything with intricate bevels or patterned edges in a kitchen. With all the cooking they are a grease trap, and you’re always wiping them down so they don’t smell

I bought that Rae Dunn “ chirp” mug a few weeks ago . I’m a RD collector( but no relation!) it’s so heavy though with a drink in it!
That white sofa, was it the Ektorp range? It looked like it to me. Can I just say that is the best sofa you will ever buy in ikea! We bought ours 25 years ago, it lived through a daughter and all her art loving friends, plus a west highland terrier that frequently looked like a pint of Guinness 😉 I washed the covers all of which come off ,in the washing machine whenever the weather was good enough to get them on the line, never had a problem zipping them back on as the linen is so good. And it was the comfiest sofa to sit and sleep on 🤩Oh and price comparison, we paid £280 for ours 😁 Forgot to say we then donated them to a charity as they were still very usable 😃
