I tried lampredotto at my first and last (so far) visit to Florence in 2016. It really tasted yummy! If you want to enjoy life, culture, beauty, people and food, then visit Italy! I's a must.

The lampredotto that I had at Mercato Centrale was quite good. It worked very well as a filling for a sandwich.
Yes, next time I want to try it in a sandwich. I'm sure they have some excellent Lampredotto in Mercato Centrale!
That looks like an interesting tour. A good variety of foodstuffs. Also, lots of wine. 😅..I'm funny about offal, more based on texture or cooking smell.
It really was a great tour! I am with you on the offal. That's why I smelled it first before I tried it. I was really happily surprised at how un-offal it smelled! And tasted! And the texture is also good, for me at least. It's super tender and as I said, if you didn't know what it was, you wouldn't guess!
Why that's a challenge? Lampredotto is always the one to eat when in Firenze and my favorite 😊. Always love your videos, ciao from Milan 👋

A had lunch at Cibreo Caffe today! That place is great! Had the fish. Very simple, wrapped in foil. It was delicious! Love your videos!😊

Can you tell me the name of the place that you got the lampredotto? My husband tried some in Florence last summer and was not impressed, but would like to try the place that you went to.
Right at 07:15 you can see it - it's called Da' Vinattieri. It's right in the center of Florence next to Dante's house (museum.) It's a true local spot!
Thoughts on next year. Jubilee year. I was planning on making my first to trip to Italy. Will it just be bad in Rome?
Well, things to keep in mind:
*Tourism in Rome has pretty much exploded post-pandemic, but TBH, we were in the hotel business until 2018 and we had already started to see signs of tourism growing very strong even before the pandemic. I think the crowds are just here to stay.
*The Jubilee lasts all year long, beginning in December 2023. So it's not just a day or a moment of the year when it will be "busier" than usual.
*Many people coming for the Jubilee are pilgrims, some of whom tend to stay in religious housing, which in turn puts less pressure than you might think on other types of accommodation.
So I would not let the fact that 2025 is a Jubilee year put you off coming. As usual, the best time to find fewer/smaller crowds is still going to be in winter (except during the holidays.)
