2 things, 1. octavian wouldn't have dick if it wasn't for agrippa and 2. OCTAVIAN BANGED HIS SISTER..he has NO moral high ground! lol...and also, how could octavian force octavia to marry antony after what she went through with pompey??? i just don'g get the motivation for agrippa to go along with any of it...he and octavia were the ONLY ones with integrity and they got fucked over all around! >:(
i love this video and you're welcome for the view count!
@@kimmypfeiffer9130 Thank you! I am glad you like it :))
We taught him how to fight not think.
"You're a man of many talents Agrippa...seduction is not one of them."
Indeed! :)
@@spartangirl7808 While I know Octavia was married to Antony, I really wish Agrippa and her could have had a chance.
Me too. I really liked their story, eventhough it was historically inaccurate. But I feel that the ending of the last episode when they exchanged looks at the triumph is open to the interpretation - perhaps they did continue their romance after all ;)
It's okay. There's a lot of sweaty RTS nerds today that might have the same problem.
What are friends for?
Agrippa was quite influential in Roman politics irl. He used to rule given provinces via proxy while remaining in the place he seemed surrounded by his loyal people and influence. He also worked as a bridge of "Secret Alliance " between Rome and other warrring states. Not to mention his children’s were quite active in Roman politics and many his descendants ruled Roman as Emperor.
For his loyalty Augustus irl gave a massive lavish funeral to Agrippa also saw to his Children's education and made his grandson heir to the throne of Rome 😍😍
dont forget he was a damm good architect too, helped build alot of things in Rome with Augustus
He was elevated to co emperor in all but name when Augustus got really sick in 23bc. He could veto the senate and purpose new laws until his death.
Marcus Agrippa was Rome's greatest General. Without Marcus Agrippa ,there would be no Augustus .
And no one knew this better than Augustus , himself.
Remember Agrippa 's death . Augustus was grief stricken . Augustus did a heart felt emotionally packed eulogy , and he,personally placed Agrippa's ashes inside his own mausoleum.
They were brothers , not in blood , but in spirit.
Marcus Agrippa was a great general, but I wouldn't say he was the greatest Roman general!! That question is not answerable, there we're many remarkable and great general's from Ancient Rome!! 🙂
It's weird seeing Agrippa like this, when in reality without him, Octavian wouldn't be an emperor. If Roman Empire was a body, Agrippa would be the backbone of it
If I'm not mistaken he was 20 years old at the time of the battle of Mutina. So it makes sense.
Allen Leech, the actor playing Agrippa,
is also in Downtown Abbey.
And the fist
He is an earnest but massively lovable schmedrick - one of my favorite characters of Rome
For the good of the republic. She's was cute when she said that. And i'm in love with ber voice.
Totally agree! She was adorable :)
They nailed Agrippa perfectly, he even looks like the younger version of the historical bust
Love them! a pity they didn't end together .
I couldn't agree more :))
It's implied they continued
Agrippa in the series was goober. In real life he was an epic badass that was the general behind Augustus region before the empire and during, until his death.
He was a solider, not a charmer. And he was 20 years old at the time of battle of Mutina.
I kinda like how he was played in the show. Shows he was great from a young age.
@@bdleo300 He was also a bonafide genius and polymath. I've never met a brilliant man who was also some kind of playboy.
@@DickEnchilada and also a brilliant naval strategist and a good architect
hum, Do you know many men?@@DickEnchilada
They were so cute together!
Super cute :)
I've been in Agrippa's place. True love, even when it's not requited, doesn't really go away. Even when I couldn't reach the woman I loved I still tried to find a way until it became impossible.
I don't know what's that's called when you still have true love for someone who has been married to another and with children for years now. Obviously I can't take her back but to respect and honor her marriage. I'm haunted insomuch that every other woman was a welcome distraction at best and an unwelcome nuisance at worst. I've let go, but this true love hasn't let me go. I keep thinking there's another woman who might come and "emancipate" me from it. Not for over 20 years has this happened.
Life is unpredictable. The lady to "emancipate" you might be right around the corner :))
@@spartangirl7808 I do believe it. There shouldn't be any feeling of guilt or loss at all in that day either.
I'm kind of there now, at the point of acceptance. Tried and failed, keep watching youtube vidoes of shows that make me happy etc.
For the good of the republic. How cute she was.!!!
Пересматриваю в 10000-й раз. Без перевода. Потрясающий сериал.
он является лучшим! спасибо за комментарий.
Octavia and Marcus Vipsanius Agrippa we're two of my favorites from this series! 🤎🗡️🛡️🤍
God give me one good soldier and son!
Belli i momenti di Agrippa e ottavia.emozianano.
Octavia the Younger became Agrippa's mother-in-law when he married her daughter Claudia Marcella Major ... on Augustus' insistence of course.
The character that I most resemble in this show. Except I'd chose Ocatavia over anything else, especially power. How can you not love that poor girl?
That is one of the best comments ever. The world needs more men like you! :)
@@spartangirl7808 And more lovely ladies like you ;)
Neither of you have permission to marry my sister.
imagine flirting with an anon…
Talk about the ultimate bromance! Octavian wouldn't have accomplished what he did without Agrippa. A friend like no other.
2024 still here.
Beautifully done.
Thank you so much!
They cancelled the show too soon!!
I agree 100%. I mean, there are other shows set in this time period, but honestly, nothing compares to Rome.
Octavia was hot
Wait I thought Octavian has 2 sisters in real life
He had only one sister - Octavia. The romance between Agrippa and Octavia was invented for the show (in real life, Agrippa married Augustus' daughter). Nevertheless, I am still a big fan of the ship, because it was an awesome invention to spice up the show's story :)
@@spartangirl7808 Octavian had one full sister - Octavia. And a half sister also named Octavia by his father's first wife.
He was so much more then a teenage loveboy 😢
I'm so simp for Octavian's sister. Yes I'm a teenager what do u expect
Haha! :)
What is the music? It’s lovely
Music: Russian Spring (Audiomachine, album: La belle epoque).
Audiomachine is the best. I highly recommend listening to all their albums ;)
Aggripa under the order from Octavian Augustus divorce his wife and maried Julia Augusti Filia, the only child of Octavian, than become Octavian son in law and Heir to the Roman Empire bu He die before become an Emperor
Ironicly, his decendent from Julia is not great like him, His grondson is Caligula and his great great grandson is Nero whose one of the worst Roman Emperor
He truly is the baddest!
Hmmm, could this be one of the reasons they cancelled ROME… too syrupy… Agrippa was an ambitious and ruthless man… he would not grovel to any one..😏
Did you watch tv show Domina? Is so, what did you think of the portrayal of Agrippa in that show? Would love to hear your opinion :))
@@spartangirl7808 rewriting history is never a good idea… and Domina not only rewrites it ‘liberally’ but it throws in a few things from GoT… and it’s full of clichés… sorry to disappoint you.😏
I agree, he's kinda cringe, but it might not be too far from truth. He seems to have been a really nice man, hardworking and talented but very loyal to Augustus, not cutthroat ambitious.
Don't spit in the face of aggrippa like that, he was more than ambitious, he was loyal and a military and civil engineering genius
