**Sheryn did write the song in English, in poem form...based off her life story. Jonathan Manalo then wrote the Tagalog lyrics in the form of song, together with Sheryn's manager, Michiko Unso.

What a great reaction between the original and the cover. Both singers are great in their own ways. Morissete Amon does it as a cover but she gives justice to it. This is a really good example of a cover because she doesn't copy the original. She makes it her own and gives her best on it differently from the original. The original one she does is really good as well and I have a great respect for Sherlyn Regis because she's the original she needs to be respected. Absolutely wonderful from these two ladies. The 5 Stages of Grief is included and that makes it not just technical but also emotional. Sheryn with the calm and sad, while Morissette with the fierce and anger. This song really never gets old and Morissette has a lot of versions but the more recent the best for me at least.

there are many times Morissette saves Sheryn in her Higher notes performances but still very good and I love them both.

sheryn's entered in showbiz first and can do high notes but controlled...while mori usually into high notes...they are both great singers in different styles...
Sheryn regis has the control and power, her high notes are effortless, besides she can also control her emotions very well. I can listen to her the entire day without complaining at all.
I think Regis' version is filled with more emotions because it is her own composition and tells about her life. Morisette's version has more power but lacks clarity. Regis sings with crystal-clear voice.

Personally, i think Sheryn's way of singing speaks of longing, bargaining. Mori's way has more of grit, angst (in a positive way). Equally talented and gorgeous!!
