Get your wand at level 5 and you would have made short work of that elite. Wand Spec all the way at level 10 and it’s more dps than your spells outside of Mind Blast

Found an AFK shaman the other day. Instead of just killing him I MC'd him into a pack of mobs. I didn't get any honor, but it was definitely fulfilling
Healing as priest is fun. Even more fun in BC. Back in the day though most healers were baddies and thought it was boring cuz you play whack-a-mole. But there is way more depth if you git-gud even a little.
As a priest main: don't. LMAO. Let me explain. Leveling and pvping? Extremely fun in shadow. End game? You'll most likely be pigeonholed into holy. I entirely expected this, and originally wanted to heal. However, healing comes at a great cost of no longer being able to solo almost any content aside from holy nova lasher farming. Sure, you could swap in and out of shadow spec but that's eventually going to be a 100+ gold sink if you raid regularly. If you raid in shadow, most likely you will be last prio on loot and your role is padding the warlock dps. While useful, in pve it can be extremely underwhelming with the heavy mana use. PVP? You will melt faces as a shadow priest. Holy? Enjoy dispelling. Overall: shadow OP in PVP, and holy is king in PVE. To enjoy the best of both worlds is going to be an incredible gold sink, but if you are dedicated... hey, go for it. TBH I raid log my priest and play my rogue & mage alt.
this is so true lol ... even as shadow while pvping is not that great.. you ll get oom in like 10 sec and wanding in the middle of the fight like a weirdo.. so many times i tried to get myself killed for it. because you know.. im wanding..
I actually enjoy PVP as a healer, especially in large group battles like AV where I can stay relatively unharassed unless the warrior wants to charge through our lines to their death just to interrupt one of my spells. It did suck however prior to BG’s seeing as people didn’t want to group for world pvp to “maximize honor” and healing gives no honor if you aren’t in a group with people dpsing the enemy. So it meant I had to try and get hits off on enemies and get very little honor as my portion of the damage was small.
My mains a dwarf priest.Deep disc is a nice talent build. You get best of both. A great addition to a raid team with pi and if you got good gear your healing output will be top tier. Then switch your pvp gear on and you can heal/attack in bgs.
A priest may be a "support" class, but healers run the pace of the dungeon/raid, unless you want to wipe. I have a 60 priest, an I enjoy it for PVE content. The farming options are terrible though, can maybe get 30G per hour tops instance farming. I have a mage I use for gold farming. I also think priest Tier 1 is probably the best looking caster set in the game and I think the racials for the class are cool twist.
Funny thing is i got a 60 priest and a 60 warlock and soloing elites that cant be feared is way better to solo as priest. Grinding the elite stone Guardians in ungoro on my holy priest instead of the warlock.
I got a notification yesterday while playing to watch your video. As a 60 priest main I read the title and said to myself "Oh I can sure as hell show you why" Because priests are amazing. Best class. End of story.

It doesn't matter if he said "are" or "aren't" his statement was grossly inaccurate. Already did that. After i hit 60 on my warlock and got some epics i started on priest, now lvl 51, one of the most fun classes.

Warlocks are the most survivable for solo play. They can solo elite quests easiest, period.
