I’ve only started dabbling into recording riffs/music in recent months. That said, my inexperienced ears really can’t tell much of a difference in tone between Eurobass3, Djinnbass and Nocturnal bass 🤷🏻♂️
It’s really in the bass that they were modeled after. Each one is different and can be used in different contexts. Djinn is more geared towards djent, Euro is good for big modern metal soundscapes and Nocturnal is a catch all

It really boils down to which is going to fit what you're doing. For me, UmanskyBass was perfect. But you need to hear them to do a proper comparison, in my opinion.

Hey! One trick I use when I record and my G string is wanting to go flat is tuning, bending the string 1.5 step at the 5th fret, retune and doing that until it stays in tune! It's a trick I got from a Phil McKnight's video and it works! Hope this helps

One thing I appreciate with submission audio is that they don't release one product after another that's drastically better, they're each a different flavor that would best be suited somewhere but all still good. I bought eurobass 3 like a month before djinn 2 came out I haven't felt left out at all eurobass 3 is just such a monster that it does everything I need just fine.

I might be lying to myself but that riff really reminds me of Bleed from Within. They have loads of really great riffs to learn. Sylosis is another great band with super fun riffs to play
For the G string, you can try a wound G string and see if that helps. Otherwise, we're all struggling with that problem, haha.

You should point a mic at your strings while you record, you get a really nice percussive sound from the string noise when your mic is hot.

have you tried a wound G? i have fewer issues after switching plus it feel more natural for down tuning.
i got their euro bass 2 for christmas, it sounds ok but really you have to add effects and do a lot more dynamic mixing to get it sounding believable and good. whereas id imagine the more expensive ones like omni bass are probably better out of the box, idk

Just curious but you ever play around with tunings in different Hz? Like drop C in 432Hz, sounds slightly different but I personally think it sounds cool. Be cool to see you try it out. Awesome riffs and vids as always!
So I think 432hz Drop C sounds a bit darker and not as good for metalcore stuff but I like it across the board for Drop D. Be cool to see what other people think.
