Earlier in the season, the Bills were 6-6 and the Dolphins were 9-3. With those two records, people had the Bills missing the playoffs and the Dolphins winning the AFC East, with a possible chance at the 1 seed. Five games later, the Bills go 5-0 and the Dolphins go 2-3. This allowed the Bills to get the head to head sweep and win the AFC East!! From an elimination scenario to having a home playoff game.

its cause miami is a vacation trip to half the country, so when a big game happens they can vacay and watch their favorite team at the same time. Nobody sees buffalo as a vacation trip so the opposite happening probably never will.

Win or lose, over the last few seasons, the Bills to me anyway, are the most entertaining team to watch in the NFL. So many close ones, so many impossible drives. Has alot to do with players like Josh Allen, Diggs and so on.

I live in the UK and have been a huge fan of the NFL ever since I was introduced to it back in 1984. For my sins I’m a huge Raiders fan but just love watching any game from the NFL. This was one brilliant game by two teams at the top of their form. Congratulations to the Bills on clinching the division title and good luck to both teams in the playoffs.

Coach McDaniel has no sense of feeling for the game! Also, his ability to analyze the game and make necessary adjustments is below average! Up by 7 and there's a momentum swing in favor of the Bills, who are thriving off Josh Allen's energy while Miami's offense is in a slump. Miami goes 3 and out for consecutive possessions during which McDaniel calls 2 rushing plays and 1 pass play each possession. As a coach, you need to feel the heat of your opponent flaming up and possibly leading to something dramatic happening in favor of your opponent. You need to extinguish the heat with your defense and also counteract the heat with your offense by scoring. The feeling of the momentum swing, in my estimation, required Miami to match every point scored by the Bills. Instead of calling 2 rushing plays and 1 pass play again after going 3 and out during the prior possession, adjust your play calling to include at least 2 passes. Your best offensive player is a wide receiver in Tyreek Hill, and your offense is considered high powered because of its passing. McDaniel needed to incorporate more passing plays during the 2 or 3 possessions that Miami went 3 and out consecutively prior to the special teams touchdown by the Bills because the momentum culminated permanently in favor of the Bills after the special teams touchdown and nothing was going to change the momentum, and as it played out, nothing did change the momentum.
I been telling everyone the whole years is just a cute offensive coordinator, nothing more. That’s basically what you described in a nutshell. Head coaches has to be able to see the detail big picture. Tua may get him fired by the end of the 2024 season.
I just… wow. This was the most entertaining and amazing game I have ever watched live. Absolutely remarkable. That 96 yard punt return absolutely changed the flow of the game.

Diggs was never really a "speed guy," so yeah, it'll be fun to see what Shakir can do moving forward. @hermansfood lmao what a joke. If Kyle Allen had to play the Bills wouldn't do anything. The Bills run game is inconsistent and the receivers typically don't get great separation. Kyle Allen doesn't have the arm nor the athleticism to do what Allen does.

I knew Allen didn't play a perfect game just by knowing Allen played..... The Bills would be really dangerous if they had a real QB. I mean the refs helped them here with that "not seen" illegal block in the back on that punt return.
Also think about if Allen deliver those passes one to Cook to end zone and 80+ yard pass to wide open Diggs. What about that last play in 1st half? that would put him on passer rating over 130.. He has all the physical tools but mentally he need someone to carry it together and not put on his shoulder.

Honestly, this game wasn't much different than the first game when Miami came to Buffalo. Buffalo won 48-20, the offense was great and the defense stopped Miami completely in the second half. The only difference in this game was Buffalo committed several blunders in the red zone and gave up points. Imagine a TD on opening drive, Allen connects with Diggs for 90 yard TD that was very close, Bills get points before the half, Bills get points on the drive which ended from Allen fumble. All that happens and the Bills win 41-14 or 44-14 or so. Very similar game, Josh Allen just made a few mistakes that he didn't make in the first game.
Agreed. The bills way outplayed Miami all game, not just the fourth quarter. If it wasn’t for the mistakes this game would be a blowout again.

I've loved watching both these teams this year. In this game, the Dolphins looked more like the well-oiled, disciplined machine, while the Bills looked less disciplined but more improvisational and unpredictable. I guess one problem with tight discipline is that your team becomes more predictable, so the other team is able to make better second-half adjustments. Kudos to the Bills for doing just that. Don't know how it will all shake out in the playoffs, but man, these two teams are fun to watch.
Bills fan here, ...I'd agree with your take. Bills looked kinda lost in the first half, and then it was Miami looking lost in the second. I was mostly surprised that Miami didn't stick with the run game after halftime, they were doing great up until that point. Anyhow, great game between two solid clubs. Sign me up for a rematch!

This Bills team feels eerily similar to the 2011 NY Giants. Both teams were written off early, both teams wins came by close scores, both teams had 1 blow out and 1 significant win and both teams won their division by 1 game (bills tie breaker giants 1 game literally).
